Bath signed a contract with the lad allowing to play for Wales today, in defiance of PRL's ruling that all non-English players should never be released outside World Rugby's mandatory international windows.

There's a precedent: Saints did this with George North and got hit with a £60,000 fine - one-off regardless of the number of incidences of the infraction.

Bruce Craig sees that as no disincentive, he's lost more down the back of the sofa!

PRL have made a rod for their back. If they repeat the North sanction, Bath and others will repeat the trick. What's needed is a 5-point deduction for every Prem match.

But, Brucey Baby has some hot lawyers. If PRL fold, we should sign John Barclay and Stuart Hogg! Warburton as well, if he ever gets fit!

I think Bath might be looking at a points deduction. As I understand it, after the North incident, all Prem teams were told that no players were to be released outside international windows (which they agreed to), and any team would be looking at fine and points deduction. I’m yet to be convinced that Prem Rugby will actually do it though.

Frankly, the way they’re playing against Exeter, they’re going to need the points!

They look as though they've waved a white flag already.
