Fingers crossed for Maro - looked quite nasty when BT Sport finally got round to noticing he wasn't looking quite as dapper as usual - this in the Evening Stranded (which nicely describes my Southern Fail train home tomight 1.5 hours late but at least my jaw isn't broken)

I note that the press focus on him being out for the 6N, obviously no loss to Saracens at all.

I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

What dreadful news! Wishing Maro a speedy recovery.

Looks like Maro and Billy will both be back just in time for the 6N. Never mind, just so long as England are OK eh?

Bad luck on this fellers - best wishes to Maro.

According to the BBC England's Maro Itoje fractured his jaw playing for you guys - which in and of itself is strange because it's usually the other way around - anyone would think the club game was an irrelevance...

What a pleasure to receive good wishes from other teams' supporters (I know these two are Tigs). Thank you Sirs.(Sm108)

We only let England borrow him - he's always ours.

I think Mike and Duncan said at the Exeter game they were both about a month away.
So maybe Leicester or after.

Update on Maro.....

Jaw broken in two places and two metal plates inserted. Out for a minimum of 8 weeks, so unlikely for the 6N - probably a good thing in the circumstances.
I'm no expert but by the sound of it that's an optimistic forecast!

MMcC has just said he's waiting to see another specialist and GK came back from a similar injury in 3/4 weeks...

I've been wondering whether it counts as a clean break by Mike Brown.

There's a long thread on the Quins board about why they hate Saracens. Quite pitiful really.

Lucky they have nothing more to bother themselves with. The rest of the nation probably has far worse to contend with.

A bit of context - the word hate was used in a BBC headline, and most posters said it was an in appropriate word to describe the rivalry.

QP yes I'm well aware and done the whole Ugo Monye thing as well a couple of days ago. Also I read the posts and clearly some contributors were somewhat embarrassed about it and conciliatory; but many were not and gleefully jumped on the bandwagon. Your board so you do your own thing, but I really don't think there is any justification for use of the word hate in any context whatsoever in the context of the game of rugby. Call me old-fashioned but I just think it's crass. Far more important things to worry about in this world rather than a rival team.

Good luck against Ulster; they're off the boil at the moment and if you play anything like you did last weekend you should win comfortably (Sm7)

But you just used it to describe what Quins fans were saying about Sarries when not a single person said they hate Sarries!

This for starters....

In November he said this

Quote:
Chris Robshaw
as much as I hate the Saracens, being a Harlequins man and stuff

If he says that, you can imagine what Joe Marler says!

And this....

Quote:
TeddingtonQuin

Hate isn't a word I like to use in a rugby context and there are only a couple of ways that I will. One of them is that a certain Calum Clark is still allowed to play.

And the title of the original post "Why do Harlequins hate Saracens". Not "Do Harlequins hate Saracens" but why do we. So when I say I'm not cool with using the word hate in any context whatsoever to do with rugby I think that is fairly clear. I'm happy to pick the bones out of pedantry with the best of them, but just the existence of the thread in the first place reflects poorly on Quins. How about we just blame Ugo? Not the sharpest pencil in the box anyway.

P.S my first post from 35,000 feet (Sm8)

Wow, the BBC haven't really got a clue when it comes to rugby, my 5 year old son could right a better match report than the BBC one report literally said something like Ulster 40 - 27 Glasgow (can't remember the teams) but the report was the Irish province won 40 - 27 scoring more tries than the opposition....

That was it so I tend to gloss over anything the BBC says rugby wise now

How am I squirming? You've lost the plot on this. Your initial post about the Quins thread was disingenuous at best and lying at worst.

How so? It's in black and white QP. I could copy & paste more examples but it would be a waste of time. You clearly just don't want to see what's in front of you and I don't blame you either. Most unedifying.
