All the talk is of George North not wanting to play for Saints, but I'd like to know why we didn't have Williams and Maitland available given that there were other Welsh and Scots playing this weekend?

I do wonder if McCall wanted them to have a rest. 2 more 6N then back to the AP and Dublin. At least this way they've had a break.

Thought the same, can understand them being rested, but Williams could surely do with a bit more game time at the moment?

I’m not sure but I did wonder who gets ‘first call’ on the players now that there are less than 7 days to the next international game? Would we have been able to ‘claim’ them had the game been played on Saturday??

Neither of them have played much this season, so unless they aren’t 100% fit I don’t understand their absence

Not selected according to McCall. Looking at the bigger picture of a Euro QF and the Premiership run in.
