Well no rest for those who were B&I Lions... something will give eventually.
Congratulations to all those selected though.

Congrats to to the two Ben's for being chosen and all the other young players. I am not happy at all that Maro and Mako are chosen.

All the talk of player welfare and safety and Wales and Scotland have rested players who have not even had the workloads of Maro or Mako and yet they are chosen for this tour. I know Eddie wants to win all the time but at what cost to the players, they will have played for basically 11 months by the end of that tour.

Congratulations to all the Sarries boys, but particularly pleased for Ben Spencer.

I wonder what a combination of Danny Cipriani and Ben Spencer could achieve?

Does anyone know why Wiggy was not considered for selection?

I'd have given them the time off after checking their energy level records that the club would hold.
I'd also look at how fit Billy is and decide whether he needs a good rest to be raring to go for pre season.

I assume or hope that Saracen agree these three are fit and should travel

Rested according to the press release alongside other more 'senior' players like Care, Cole and Haskell. Lots of time for things to change but right now looks like Robson and Spencer playing for the fourth scrum half in the world cup squad as the second finisher and back up to Danny Care.

I don't mind Billy going John Tee as he has not played much rugby this year. Maro and Mako especially with the depth there to me should have been given the summer off.

No disrespect to Wiggy but he's too old. The only reason he was called up in February was because he was the only third choice scrum half with experience, because of a lack of development at 9.
I cant see him getting back into the squad again barring a major crisis.

The only quarrel I have with the squad selection is that Alex or Woodward should have been there instead of Brown

I'm not sure I get all the Woodward hype. He is a brilliant attacking fullback with ball in hand, but defensively not the best, and his passing can be poor. I would think that if you're going to play with Ford/Cipriani at 10, and Faz at 12 then you're going to need a fullback who is solid in defence, I'm guessing that's how Brown gets in, it's not for his attacking play, that's for sure. I think we might see more of Daly at 15 though, which could be interesting. Knowing Yoda, Brown will play every game.

I would think that while Yoda is in charge, Alex's ship has sailed.

Absolutely crazy for Maro and Mako to be going. This was thief last chance for a decent rest before the RWC. Faz really shouldn’t be there either and making him captain almost ensures he has to play 3 full games. And being Eddie he’ll probably flog them between batches too.

I knew he would take everyone. He smells a 3-0 series win in South Africa because they're an utter shambles at the moment.

Can see this year repeating itself next year unfortunately.
