Ten Saracens in the tour squad!
Brown still in but no place for Alex Goode.

Why oh why oh why are Farrell, Mako Vunipola or Maro Itoje going?

Please could we find some emergency (but not really an emergency because it's happening over the summer) surgery for all three of them like we have with GK?

One thing about Eddie Jones is that he is consistent. But not always in a good way. For example he seems to be consistently stubborn and a character trait which is pretty clear now is that he doesn't like to concede when he's got it wrong. Picking on form is something he, like all previous coaches, only does so far and he certainly has his 'undroppables'. More frustrating is his refusal to pick deserving players. No point in losing sleep over it though; he's not going to change his mind just because we know better smiling smiley

From a purely selfish standpoint, I wholeheartedly agree with you; but I wonder how much game time our players will get from a 34 man squad.

Well, if they are the captain of the tour, quite a lot I would imagine.

Any opportunity to represent your country is special - donít doubt for one second that these lads would rather not be selected ! Very special moment in particular for Owen being selected as Tour Captain - who knows, this could be the beginning of him becoming the permanent Captain ! No way would he want to let an opportunity like that pass up - he & the others will get 5, maybe 6 weeks off when they get back & wonít play in any pre-season games !

Saracens are incredible at managing their players & looking after them physically - if there was any doubt that going on Tour would be detrimental to these guys, then they would have been pulled surely !

Best of luck to all of them ! Would be fantastic to get a first series win in SA !

Best example of how Sarries managed to get players right is Maro. He looked tired and in need of a break during the AIs, now he is a different player. Sometimes the surroundings just work for the player and we seem to be getting it right with players we think should be exhausted.

As far as Mako is concerned I would have no idea how physically wrecked he is. From minute 1 to the end of the season he looks knackered.

He looks shattered staggering out at the beginning of a match so there's no real indicator for him
