Artificial pitches

Just occurred to me that as the pre-season matches will start in a few weeks there potentially could be problems with rock hard pitches after this weather. Obviously AzP will be ok but I wonder how others will get on.

We'll probably have a deluge for the next few weeks now!

I was at the Stoop last week and the pitch looked very lush and green. The butlers are well on top of the watering!

The grass did look very thin which made me think it may have been relaid over the summer?

Certainly in this heat, once it's been chilled

Many a true word spoken in jest! Anyone see the cloud burst immediately after the final whistle after we won the 7s?

No such thing as an @Artificial Pitch'!

It's a pitch, with an artificial turf/grass/G4 RFU surface.

I heard in passing that the pitch at Glaws (always terrible) has been relaid with a fair sprinkling of artificial threads
