Petrus - back for good?

Did anyone hear anything last night as to how long Petrus is back at the club for? Would certainly add some ballast with the potential to be missing Titi to the U.S, Figallo to injury and Koch to RSA.

That statement is very much open to interpretation .

"London Irish prop Petrus du Plessis is in the squad to cover Vincent Koch’s absence with Titi Lamositele and Christian Judge having featured on Saturday."

Could be he is only here for that game as we had no props - or it could be he is available until Vinnie returns.

On the Rugby Pod last week Big JIm said Sarries were interested in taking him as cover until Koch returned but LI were not interested.

Perhaps they don't mind him having some "A" league games - or perhaps they have had a change of heart.

I read somewhere that they had loaned him (and potentially others to other clubs) as they were not allowed to enter the 'A' League cup whatever it's called.

There was a discussion on the LI board that they had loaned out Haribo Hero to us plus a couple to Worcs and another to Wasps.

And now he's signed for Glasgow Warriors of all people, until the end of this season.

Apparently to be included in the match day squad for Saracens this weekend !!!

Does this mean his coaching job at LI has also stopped given he is there till the end of the season?

Bad timing for us given all he knows about us....

All the more odd considering we are short of props and had apparently shown an interest in getting him on loan and were turned down by LI !

Perhaps the exchange rate for the Scottish Pound is particularly good.

We'll certainly have to change the line out calls now !

Perhaps he has found a Scottish Granny, so the SRU are signing the pay check!

The LI site says "released from his contract" - I assume that means gone for good !

If he does run out against us, I'm sure he'll get a rousing cheer.
