from Prem rugby -

Saracens captain Brad Barritt will have an operation on a facial injury picked up in Saracens’ Gallagher Premiership match against Bath on Saturday.

The centre was forced off in the first half of Saturday’s win at Allianz Park after catching a boot to the face in a tackle.

He saw a consultant following the match to discover the extend of the damage and will have surgery this week, ruling him out of the Harlequins match.

The guy is a legend. Hope he gets it all sorted then maybe takes a bit of extra time off to make sure he's 100%.

They're dropping like flies. Just seen that Exeter's Jonny Hill and Sam Simmonds are both injured for an 'extended period' and will definitely miss the first two rounds in Europe.

Legend is the word for BB and many other Saracens. Important not to rush back injured players too soon - it yields negative outcomes and possibly career shortening ones more importantly. I like to think Saracens have the measure of this.

I'll just be glad to get him back sometime - this has the possibility of the advice being that he cannot risk his face again.

And so it continues....

Marland Yarde now out for the rest of the season with a knee injury!
