Here

15 Goode, Gallagher
W Williams, Lewington, Strettle, Maitland, Morris
C Barritt, Tompkins, Bosch
10 Farrell, Lozowski, Malins
9 Wigglesworth, Spencer, Taylor, Whiteley

1 Vunipola, Barrington, Thompson-Stringer, Adams-Hale
2 George, Tolofua, Gray, Woolstencroft
3 Koch, Figallo, Lamositele, Walker, Judge
L Kruis, Itoje, Isiekwe, Skelton, Day
F Rhodes, Wray, Clark, Burger, Earl
8 Vunipola, Vailanu

35 - I thought the squad used to be larger, with 3 group stage changes. Malins' injury worse than anticipated, or down to squad size?

ETA the six updates (bold).
2ETA Christian Judge replacing Billy Walker

Unless we are going to use him for the Prem games.

Umm why is Isiekwe not on the list and Day there? Does he have some sort of injury we don't know about?

The Championship clubs have three more rounds of the league then six of their Minnie Mouse Cup (not aligned with the Heineken this year) taking them up to Christmas, so you may be right Waldo.

Hmm from Leicester's board "Tigers announce their 41 man Heineken squad". 6 missing?

How does it work with Chippi's injury? Does he have to be in from the start to feature at all?

Such a strong squad there.

We were a bit undercooked last season, with so many of our players having had a tough lions tour and without the option (unlike Leinster) of being able to give them any decent amount of rest.

This season I think it will be different.

How amazing would a Sarries v Leinster final in Newcastle be? The best 2 teams in Europe in my opinion (although i´d personally back us to win it).

I am sorry, surely there is something wrong here?

No Nick I or Ben Earl?

Something not quite right here. Apart from those already mentioned, Taylor in ahead of Whiteley on current form, I doubt that very much!

Could it be an age thing. Players under a certain age dont need to be registered. Isiekwe and Earl are both 20 everyone on the list is 21 or older

I think so, yes, if we want him to feature in the group stage other than as (one of 3? permitted) injury replacements. Or in the ko stages other than as one of a limited number of permitted changes. So best to have him in from the start.

On Nick Isiekwe, has anyone noticed that on the Fish he is now in both the Senior and Academy squads!

Would take Taylor over Whiteley even on current form. I know Taylor hasn't had much game time recently due to injury, but that's easily rectified, and his decision making and game management are streets ahead...

Only goes to show how opinions can vary. My assertion is based not only on how well Whiteley has performed recently but on how poor Taylor appears. Needless to say MMc's job is not on any danger smiling smiley

From EPRC

3.1 Each club must nominate a squad of up to 41 players. A minimum of 10 of the players nominated by the club must be capable of playing in front row forward positions. All such players must, on registration, be fully and properly registered with their club and Union.

So a team needs 20% front row, whereas a squad needs nearer 25%.

Well a matchday squad needs 6/23 front row which is 26.1% so actually higher than the competition squad requirement 10/41 or 24.4%. so not an unreasonable requirement by any means
