Good game, I thought the ref was pretty good too.

Very good game. Really good to see some good performances from both teams with the young players. I thought the Leicester second row, Wells, played very well and their young TH.

For us, I thought Kpoku was exceptional and now we have serious depth at lock and Dom Morris was fantastic at 12.

I have been very impressed with this ref this season and again today he was excellent.

We left a TBP out on that pitch without any doubt though. Ali Crossdale had one of his better games and Joel was very worthy of his MOTM. Max Malins will want to forget that one pronto; quite possibly his worst performance for us I've ever seen. The missed kick to the corner a minute from time was a real schoolboy howler and cost us yet another shot at the TBP.

Pleased with the win though as that was a game I thought we might well have lost.

Good to see such a plethora of talent coming through from both sides. Will you be able to keep them? Particularly 2nd row with Kruis, itoje and isiekwe hardly in their dotage? Not the worst problem to face.

Was it Max or Matt Gallagher with that kick? Havent watched the replay.

Matt (left footed) quite rightly took the first one which was good. A short while later we got the second one which Max (right footed) took. We couldn't understand why Matt hadn't taken the second one as well. It was very unfortunate!

Much as I like him, if Will Skelton wants to go back and play for Australia it’s not going to cause us a problem with Joel K playing like that.

We struggled after he and Vaianu(sp?) left the pitch

The Tigers website has a real hate fest going on for Calum Clarke - I saw a couple of niggly incidents but was there that much?

Also Tom Woolstencroft had a very good game today. Full of energy the full 80.

We too thought this ref was good - in fact the only potential error was not giving us a yellow for repeated infringement

Given our poor restarts, going for penalties not tries was an error

Very impressed with Woolstencroft, good darts throughout on a windy day and good around the pitch. Credit to Christophe Ridley too, good quick and clear decisions usually made from exactly the right position. Looks on course to be our top ref within the next couple of seasons.
Crowd better than expected on a bitterly cold day, although I didn’t get there myself until just before halftime due to the M11 closing for 90 minutes.

Chief in peace...... Watched the game and enjoyed it.
Both teams worked hard..... Christopher Ridley continues to impress..... I particularly liked his handling/questioning on the possible tackle in the air.... Well played all

Good game but we fell off the pace badly in the second half, substitutions I think reduced our power. Poor that we scored so little in the last 20 mins

A historical incident I’m not sure we’d be any different.

We Tigers do bear a grudge, he wasn't one of yours when it happened.

I purposefully did not mention Clarke on here as I wished to focus on the positive. By all means come and constructively argue that point on our board.

The ref’s handling of the non-tackle in the air was exemplary. A few could learn a lot from that, some would have been over eager to fit the evidence to a pre-decided red card

Quite agree, a good common sense decision even though at the time I thought it had to be a nailed on penalty try.

Alas I don't think he needs to for some to still hate him over Hawkins,. Al we can hope is that we can still help I'm to continue the positive trend. He does seem happier now he's away from the gardens

Chatting to a couple of Leicester fans after the game it was agreed that from what was on show by some brilliant young players that whoever is in charge of England will be plundering both teams as ever in future.

A tremendous advertisement for the skills of this generation of players and dear Lord, how much bigger are they going to get? As my late grandmother would have said “I would rather feed them for a week than a fortnight”

The future is good, the future is black and red.

I think that Christophe Ridley is becoming one of the best “Sirs” in the game; cool, calm and reasonable. Chatting to players to avoid issues and thus keeping the game flowing.

Hi everyone, long time lurker (sorry) but been following the men in Black since being a student at Southgate Technical College in the late 80's. Have seen them play at Bramley, Southbury and Vicarage but sadly not had the chance to visit Allianz Park yet.

Intrigued by the backgorund of Christophe Ridley, I stumbled on his LinkedIn and he has strong links to Leicester. How is he allowed to officiate a game involving Leicester Tigers, a club he once worked for?

Probably for the same reason Karl Dickson can referee Quuins' games (very well too).

I don't think there was really any conflict of interest - he didn't give tigers any preference in my view .

I like the way he officiates - I think he will go far.

Who cares if he referees as well as he did in that game in the future?

there is a theory that Will Sketon is looking to make the Aus team for the world cup and will disappear from the end of this season.

Personally impressed by Ridley in both times he has reffed our games.
Except that looking at him, he makes me feel old for the first time in my life!
How old is he for goodness sake?
TWENTY?
Please dont retire Wayne.... at least you don't make me feel like an octogenarian.

It may be nitpicking, but on 16 minutes, our siege of the Tiggers' line came to an end with a knock on. However, the previous phase ended with Vailanu lunging for the line and Christophe deeming held up - he had been on the other side of the ruck; had he referred it, I believe a slow-motion replay of the televised video would have confirmed that the ball was grounded over the line.

It's all very well having self-confidence as a ref (cf Roy Maybank, who is an excellent AR BTW), but he's still not supposed to guess!
