Looked very bad at the time, they had to send the breakdown truck for him . Calf injury rather than knee

they only sent the golf cart round because he was on the other side of the pitch and he was hobbling

All I've read was a post by "backdoctor" on Pests site, who wrote on Saturday that it was "a six week injury". How accurate who knows?

George Kruis story on the Beeb now. Doesn't actually give much more information other than to confirm a calf injury.

On the expectation that England will hammer Japan I don't think this match will tell us very much at all. A very mobile and attacking team will do a job on Japan.

A good selection for this particular game. With Loz and Ford on the pitch I'm surprised Faz is not rested as is Jonny May.

Youngs/Care not really very radical
Ideal game to play Spencer with Wigglesworth for default
England game.

If Care and Ford don't take his game on then they shouldnt go to the RWC, Imv.

Japan will be no push over....

They scored 5 try's against the AB's and last time out in Paris drew with France.

Do not under estimate them.

Can't see Malins starting at 10. Not after the last 3 weeks anyway. Wouldn't be surprised to see Goodey start there again, he did an excellent job last time out. I think 15 is an easier slot to fill for us but we are down to the wire definitely.

Just wondering what you guys think of Lozowski at 12?

Personally, as a Yorkshire Carnegie supporter who saw a lot of him playing for us at 10 that season, I think it's a waste of his ability.

Felt really sorry for him yesterday. Played out of position then replaced at half time when it didn't work out.

Would love to know whether he's in the squad as a 10 or a 13. EJ should then either pick him there or let him play for Sarries imho.

For me he's just got so much ability at 10, playing him at inside centre is a total waste.

He is there as utility. I don't think he was the scapegoat yesterday but got the hook anyway.
Ford unable to boss a game without Farrell to bolster him is my concern.
In that respect, that also keeps Lozowski valuable in the 23.

I think Yoda might pick Tuilagi in the centre against Kerevi, Kurandrani or Folau. Is there a witch doctor in the house?

There needs to be because he isn't fit enough.
Must be learning back line moves in the hope one day..?

This is where England have too much power, he should be released back to the club so their medical team can work on him...
Unless he is watching from the sidelines...and he may be, of course, he could be in danger of making the 'niggle' worse, which does the club no good at all.

If England want central control of players, they should pay for it by paying contracts. They could lease players back but as it stands, the current deal seems a poor one, Imv.

Yes, the medical reports are not encouraging.

I would start with Farrell, Te'o, Slade, but with Ash crocked, the backs replacements look difficult to choose. Unless, Slade is the fly-half cover, it looks as if Little George has to be in the 23 with Nowell and Cockasiga vying for the 23 and starting wing berths.
