wonder if we would actually be better with playing Loz at 10 with Owen at 12

I think long term they're thinking Loz at 12 and Daly at 13...

Good team for tomorrow. Good to see Jackson is over the concussion.

The club seems to have done so - he appears neither in the prognosis reports nor the squad announcements...

... perhaps he's been caught building a scale model of the General Belgrano! winking smiley

Not going to lie - I think Schalk Burger has been poor so far, especially vs Exeter.

Strong bench though.

Thought I read that he may require shoulder surgery again.

Very strong back line, really great to see Strettle and Williams on the wings two guys committed to the kick chase.

There was something about a shoulder injury which may need surgery. Didn't he have shoulder surgery a year or so ago?

Not just you. Tompkins has played well at 12 when given a chance and Lozo has always looked better at 13 IMO.

Overall really like the look of the team. Fascinated to see how Woolstencroft goes with the start and also to see how the returnees do. Great to see Billy, Wiggle, Williams and Wray back on the teamsheet.

Am slightly disappointed for Clark that he hasn't been given the start after being one of few to really show up last week. In a game where the opposition have a fair few break-down specialists Sarries pack looks very short of them. Fine if we're going to keep the ball alive and off the ground but possibly an issue if not. After recent weeks looking for big games from Farrell and Burger and Isiekwe to be more involved in carrying.

That's a good-looking Sale team and their backs in particular look incredibly dangerous. Think this will be a tough game and anything like the last several weeks worth in performance terms unlikely to be good enough but I am looking forward to a reaction!

More sherry sir? There's plenty left over from Christmas (Sm14)

Mike Rhodes in my starting XV every day of the week. As others have pointed out below I heard too that he would 'possibly' need shoulder surgery but that it was being assessed (this week I think).

I like the look of this team and the strength of the bench is starting to resemble the outrageously good benches we put out at the beginning of the season.

Agree that it's a much closer match-up in the backs but our pack is much bigger and stronger. In theory we should have them on toast but as we have seen the last few weeks when we had a similar advantage on paper it didn't always pan out as expected. Still, the game plan should be clear given the relative strengths of the teams and definitely no dodgy/loose kicks to nothing!

I just love it that Strettle and Ashton are both starting! Bragging rights for Stretts at FT please!

Two brilliant looking sides, AJ Bell on a Friday night, always a tough prospect, however Sarries will not be as poor as last week, great to see Billy and Williams back

Can't believe the stat that Sarries have lost just once to Sale in 8 years.

Could be an opportunity for Sale to break that awful record but it's a strong Saracens side.

We lost there in the festive fixture in 2011 when Gavlar made one his few appearances. Think we were well beaten and my abiding memory is of our replacement prop James Ellershaw chasing back 70 yards in vain after we’d turned the ball over. Thought he was going to explode...
