There are a couple of Ninkasi bars that do a nice range of beers, one quite near the main station

waldo - be aware that Lyon is traditionally French and as such food is generally only available at lunch from 12-2 and then only in a small number of restaurants

Sunday evening food will be very thin on the ground, but you should be ok at the airport

Not sure Waldo does ‘solids’ on a match day!

Whilst we all want to enjoy the lovely french culture .....there are some home comforts to be found in Lyon!
Apart from Wallace bar & elephant and castle there is a pub called King Arthur about 3km from Part dieu station!
This pub offers live music on saturday nights & a choice of beers including
Charles Wells
Directors
Bombardier
Hope to see a few of you over weekend smiling smiley

These are my restaurant/bouchon picks based on last visit 2016 (hurrah) and some recent research. It's local cuisine so nipples, brains, guts, bone marrow, snails and trotters. Personally I love all that stuff! All are open on Sat and/or Sun evenings
Le Pailleron
Le Tete du Lard (seriously)
Cafe Comptoir Abel
Le Poelon d'Or
Brasserie Georges
COYS

Unlike you Highbury to be drinking on a match weekend, probably see you in the Wallace Bar late lunch time.

what a great set up they've got at Lyon!
Lovely stadium & all food & drink outlets were cracking
When game finished we went to main supporters bar where music was playing loud & we had a great few hours!
We could learn so much from them in terms of post match entertainment
