The Value of Brad

So looking at the Premiership and European games this season, Brad has played in 19 and missed 7

Of the 19 he played in, we won 17 and lost 2 (in 1 of the defeats he left the field after 20 mins)
Of the 7 he missed we won 4 and lost 3

Please be fit for Saturday Brad!

Agreed - Mr Granite is still our MVP.

I can hear the sound of raucous laughter as I type this, but I was looking around the Premiership for my next best choice at 12 - and came up with Billy Twelvetrees. He seems to have finally lost those oh so frequent brain farts that spoilt his game, tackles superbly, reads the game well, is a decent second playmaker, carries well and is remarkably durable (and yes I'm aware he wore 13 yesterday though he still often lines up at 12). Too old to become Brad's replacement though who could replicate his role?

Never more obvious than yesterday that he is the most significant Sarries player of the last decade. Our good fortune that Eddie never tried to work out what Brad brought to any team in which he played.

Agree 100% with DG on the value of Barritt. Can also see what S is saying about 36 and it's actually quite nice seeing a player who had such obvious potential now finding it more often than not. Are the club actively looking for a Barritt replacement for a season or twos time?
Hiring Daly and Morris and Griffiths coming through in addition to Tompkins and Lozo suggests maybe not? In an ideal world we'd have his replacement next season and he could spend that season and maybe the next if he feels up to it playing less but still being available for big games as the new player transitioned in. The club certainly has interesting options at centre but all very different to what Barritt provides.

I quite often wonder about Englands fortunes over the past couple of seasons had they had Barritt at 12 and Goode at FB.

As much as BB the player it is his captaincy that we lack most in his abscences.

I am quite excited about the potential centres we have in back up and a more running game through the middle with Tompkins and Daly possibly BUT currently I do not believe Faz is cutting it as captain at 10 and that is the main issue for me.

I am concerned after last week’s game that Faz will be very cold next week - play him at 12 as Captain if BB is not (and I fear possible season finishing) back.
