With HC qualification in mind can somebody remind me who we want to win this one - I am assuming Saints given they are certs for a top 4/5/6? finish anyway and Glaws aren't

I know there was a thread on this a few weeks ago but I can't find it (I should try harder I know but it's Sunday and it was a long night and.....)

Very tight match so far - and as I type that it looks like Saints have scored again.

Such a good match. What a nice change to watch two teams try to win a match rather than two teams trying not to lose. So sorry for Gloucester supporters, they played very well.

Really entertaining match, true cut and thrust with lots of turnovers and that amazing interception from the prop. I know that a Saints win probably favours Bath overall, but I do feel for the Glos fans...they played some good stuff.

A fantastic final. Well done to both sides.

I wonder whether John Wells will be sent a copy of the DVD?!

Having watched Saints at the Away match, not a bit surprised Do hope they bring a good side down in April for the evening match.

The day I feel sorry for the majority of Glaws fans, is the day they can cart me away. Smidgen of sympathy for the Glaws players though.

Really good game and very enjoyable. Few years ago Glaws would have "choked" and lost by a cricket score but they were very much in that game and presumably they are slowly getting over the Ryan influence! Bu**er!! winking smiley

That was a really good entertaining match, full of good fast rugby, well done Saints and bad luck Gloucs.

A really good fast flowing game of rugby, just what we want in the premiership & how Johnson should be coaching England to play.

Lewis Moody

You cannot be serious. Lewis Moody in a Bath shirt? Don't be ridiculous. Shows what I know... Barely any point in writing a preview for this man. The most WYSIWYG player of our generation. He'll throw himself into situations he shouldn't. He'll win ball he has no right to win. He'll wind up opposition, irritate referees and probably give a few penalties away, but he will be a key pillar in guiding Bath to whatever glory is ahead. Can't wait to see it.

Lewis Moody, my adopted player 2010/2011 season (Photo to follow as soon as I get one with him wearing a decent shirt).

As a neutral, definitely one of the best matches this season.

That's one good thing about the LV= cup, Anglo-welsh cup knockout matches have tended to be quite exciting these last few years. There's a lot less pressure than the GP or HC so teams are far more willing to go out and play some good running attacking rugby, rather than keeping it tight and trying not to lose.

The Saints back row was outstanding.

I was at the game today, fantastic advert for rugby. 2 groups of supporters with great banter. Supurb game, true there were errors but i would sooner see errors with 2 teams try and beat each other throwing cation to the wind than a boring game.

Quite suprised sat in the new stand very nice, wish we hadnt done ours on the cheap to be honest. 10 minutes off the motorway and we were parked up and out, and after we didnt even have a queue. Only 9,500 there but worked well in my opinion.

Rant mode on. utter utter stupidity in the jokers minds who planned this final, why have it so close to six nations, why have it at woos, and why did glaws feel the need to ballot the tickets with a week to sell them all in a recession. Mupetry of the highest order meant one stand had a farcical amount of people in, bet the sky cameras tried to dodge that one.

But a top effort from both teams today, impresed again with the glaws pack(hope alex brown is ok, he has been on fire recently, stealing ball for fun) really fronted up, slightly dissapointed with out back to be honest, dont really see the point in performing backs moves so far away from contact, the saints defence could see those moves coming eery time but hey ho.

But still very entetained, totally lost voice, and have faith fullfilled in the sport i love!

As a motorsports fan who cheered on the Jags at Le Mans I was shocked to see the appearance Tom Walkinshaw. The poor man did not look at all well.

In my opinion, that was his biggest weakness when playing for Bath - he lost the ball far too often in the tackle. His commitment has always been great though.
