Come on Bath....
I will be shoutiong from the rafters for the boys in BB & W as they will need all the support we in the crowd can give.
Atters loss is a big one as his bulk especially in teh tight helps our toung props who are both up against a very strong two in Wood and Harden. Do not underestimate Harden he is a very good all round prop and a good scrummager! Catty may be a bit stronger but with a lighter second row, he is going to struggle. At scrum time we must go for very fast channel one ball on our putin and not get involved in prolonged scrums on their put in.
We ahve picked a side to play it fast in the forwards but if it is wet we are going to struggle....
If our front five do not hold theirs, our back row who may be slightly better on paper, will be more committed to winning ball in the tight and cannot cover the field to firstly stop and get in Burns face and also cover across to get at their speedy back 3.
Someone else mentioned Burns kick over the top of the onrushing defence and will do this especially against us and if it is wet. This is what Louw has to cover! Burns can be upset and so can Elliot F -S and he could be a target for Banners. Also they will attack the space behind Woodburn and bomb him and Vesty frequently and again our forwrads have to cover and take the ball in at these points.
I may sound negative but can only see a Glaws win and us a LBP! I have been wrong before and sincerely hope I am again this time!

I forgot to say, Hopers has to step up and this is his biggest test by far.
He should be well rested- but not match fit- and he is up against an agressive bully in Hamilton who will 'put himself about' and James is a very good lineout operator. Hooper HAS to HIT back, as Glaws will eat him alive otherwise and we will lose by more than 10!

I must have missed Gloucester sitting at the top of the table playing an exciting and unbeatable brand of rugby.
I hope the team aren't as pessimistic as some on this board otherwise they may as well roll over and let Gloucester tickle our bellies.
Gloucester are one place above us and have only won one away game all season.
Yes, we'll have to play well, but I hardly think we need our best team or for every player to play their best. We'll need to be careful not to give their danger runners rooms to run and we'll need to give Burns a torrid time, but I'm sure the team and analysts have studied the tapes of Gloucester and of our own play and will adjust accordingly.
And as Annie says - it's a derby. Form can often count for very little.
I shall cheer Bath on as always, believing as always that we have the ability to beat the opposition.

We have a lot of balast on the bench in the form of Beech Nd Belly, could be good in heavy conditions.
Our back row is far superior and we could just edge it if our backs bring their A game.Come on Baaaath.
