Far better than I expected, England actually brought an attacking game this week. The phase play before half time was excellent with quick ball and a constant change in the point of attack. Our lack of control during the sin bin set the tone for the rest of the game and we headed backwards from there.
The subs really did change the game, and unfortunately for the worse. Agree about Youngs and I screamed at the TV when he was brought on and I didn't do anything right.
Amazingly the guys that lost us the game today are the experienced ones and should be a controlling influence. I think Lancaster may need to have a clear out part 2 with more guys from the Johnson era dropped. Stevens, Youngs, Flood, Ashton and Foden were ranging from bad to terrible and I would like to see their egos damaged and some FORM players brought in.
I'm now down in the dumps about the game, not because we lost but because we should have won.
Anyone else note that the 'wing' chasing Williams down was in fact Croft!! A far cry from a work hungry back row if he just hangs around in the outside channels.
welcome back tins...
