just a thought, even the neutral knows that briss are on the up for real this time, strong loyal fanbase, new stadium upcoming, considerably more financial backing than bath and more team desire than your lot will ever know. you guys have a dip in form and you so called fans arent just moaning youre ripping to pieces the coaching team, and loyal long serving club servants who lets be honest are playing the way they did when you were winning, some of you have short memories and should be ashamed in the way youre insulting your team on here, so yes we may be in a lower divsion at the moment, but as the saying goes the worm is definately turning, oh and we bris fans can engage in discussuions without the need to hurl insults as a first port of call. sort it people, anyone neutral coming on here would think youre relegated, in administration and lost your team, we ve been there and done it and are a lot more together than you lot are, so grow up and try adult discussion.

He is also aware that he is from the red side of life and that while some pirates are acceptable, Pirates are beyond the pale.

They're Cornish Pirates not Somalian pirates. Besides, as long as you let your son support Bristol Shoguns considering the ritualistic violence of the Shogunate, you're in no position to take the moral highground.

It's good that you droped the name as if you'd have kept it, your performance over the past 3 seasons would have required you to commit seppuku.

Methinks, Devizes person, that you are a little unaware as well of whom the team who are more usually known as Pirates in the west are. They don't play rugby.

I'm amazed that this thread has lasted this long but then it seems some people just like insulting each other.

For the record if anyone finishes top of a table in the regular season then they should be promoted, I'm not keen on play-offs so Bristol deserve to go up now.

I've had a look at the Bristol board and sure enough there's a lot of hate out there.

Took a look at the official web page too to see who the sponsors are this season and it seems Bristol Zoo are one of them...... I'll resist stating the obvious.

Did you not think that maybe you could have kept the sponsor, but maybe have taken a the name of lesser model like the "Bristol colts" to reflect your lesser status to a major sponsor?
This may have led to your return to the top flight ahead of Exeter?

Short memory indeed from someone who's been posting since 2007! winking smiley I seem to remember your own sites bit of in-fighting and doom and gloom over relegation, Haagy leaving etc etc, not to mention the weekly "back to the top" threads of Bath/Br*zz league positions (although that bit requires a good memory).

It happens on most of the Sportnetwork sites, as posters tend to be either glass half full or empty. Posters to Sportnetwork sites tend to be "passionate" about their club which is why they post, the other 20,000 sign a petition to Keep Rugby on the Rec smiling smiley

Br*zz are indeed on the up as you say, but it's always an unknown when you have a bl**dy stupid play-off system, so nothings a given. As for Backers popping their whatsits on the table to measure up, their personal worth means nothing, it's all about how much they will invest. Both clubs have a strong loyal fan base, but when we have our dips, ours still turned out, your gates took a nose dive.

Who knows we may finally get our own new arena.

All the best for the play-offs smiling smiley

your teams admirable endeavours in the lower leagues of learning to win rugby matches, albeit against weak opposition, has clearly passed by the majority of the people of the regions capital city given the lack of support you get from them..

Lets face it its now quite a few years since your status changed to being a feeder club to the heavy weights in club Rugby Union, I can't see that changing in the near future despite your bravado.....

another curious oft repeated little dig from the b&b owner named after a bristolian that has no factual basis & no bearing whatsoever on anything being said in the thread

it's like me saying bath only has one petrol station in the city

only less true

but if we're playing that game

doncaster had 12 injuries, this is true. were they all first team players? tbh i don't know, in these days of play offs after the regular league who can say what the first xv in the championship is?
we certainly don't know who our best xv are
josh has been a great player for us this season but he is not guaranteed his place by any means

how many first choice players were tiggers resting in the semi final that your management are saying you blew?

It does make the traffic jams a somewhat nervous experience when you're low on fuel. Still, at least Ovens managed to get through last Friday and it didn't prevent our rude last-minute kidnapping ofour player from those plucky underdogs at Bristol as part of our devious attempt to forstall their inevitable resurgence through nefarious means.

Upper Bristol road ex-fuel station is now a nice, new block of flats. It didn't exactly 'blow up' so much as spring a leak from its underground tanks, resulting in residents having to be evacuated from surrounding flats. This resulted in the fuel station being demolished and replaced by a JCR, subsequently demolished for flats!

I still think Josh Ovens is playing well, though.

Perhaps, like everyone else, you're rattled at the perspective of Bristol getting back up and putting you in your place. Certainly, I wonder what Bruce's jokes are like now therere is a major block on his route to an international super club drawing regular 20,000+ crowds.

I suggest both you and he work on your timing and your punchlines.

i'm also impressed with the adding of two sainsbrees at lower bristol road & london road (both names aspiring to capital cities & in lower bristol road offeriing a lovely alternative to the name bath) to the 2 in odd down to make five.

some great maths there
