CC That WDP piece is written very authoritatively, but without one source or piece of evidence quoted. As such it is, while very interesting, no more valid thanany of the other speculation on 'Ere.
So Gold Cheika & Booth are known to be in the frame. I'd personally welcome the first 2 and wonder about Booth. I read elsewhere that Tana Umaga is interested in coaching one of the Irish sides - O'Driscoll's mugger coaching in the Emerald Isle? Seriously? Wouldn't he be better off on the mainland? Say, at Bath?
I'd like to see Catty involved somewhere. He and Richard Hill both attended the Bath Rugby Legends dinner last Friday. Hilly in the frame perhaps?
What we still haven't heard any rumours at all about is the new forwards coach. Now Roger Spurrell was at the legends dinner as well, and if anyone could turn a pack into a nasty snarling beast that puts the fear of God into the opposition then he's the man! Consultancy role for RS with the forwards?
Anyway, whatever whenever and whoever the announcement, I'm looking forward to putting my faith & support behind them. Lancaster's success with England kind of proves that you don't need the greatest CV to be the best man for the job. Whoever is selected to coach Bath gets my full backing, (right up to the point when we're scrapping for relegation) because nobody in the club will have picked them to do a bad job.
