How can anyone be jealous of a team moving from Cotton Traders to Canterbury's identikit?

Tigers had the best kit in the league this season. Cotton Traders made a fantastic mix of modern and traditional. Now they'll look silly in Canterbury's latest garish design.

You mean the same company who designed the 'look at these man boobs' shirt?

They've done worse ones than that! As have many of the other brands. I like the Waratahs kit a season or so back.

Most people that play rugby like the stash that Canterbury produce. It fits better and is usually designed better.

Looks like they have got stripes but is it just me or do the red and green look a bit weird? Rather muted.

The hoops only look like they're around the shoulders, the rest is green.

As for Canterbury's recent design howlers:

Some nice stuff there Ex-Bod.
BO - agreed those shorts are awful. Thats why Scotland dont wear them and stick to the below which is more tasteful:

Certainly better than the half finished duct tape effort here:

I disagree, Nike have made a couple of rubbish ones, but those England jerseys are quality.

So Scotland are wearing navy underwear instead of white?

Agreed Hux. They created some iconic kit in the past.

Just read that Cotton Traders have pulled out of Rugby hence Tiggers and Sale Sharks going the Canterbury route.

Sale fans will be a lot happier now as Cotton Traders seem to have put primary school kids in charge of the design of the Sale shirts for the last decade.

Am I right in thinking that the Puma deal expires next summer? Wonder if Puma are stepping away from rugby a bit after losing their Toulon and Biarritz deals, plus a lot of the notable Super League teams they had.

Hopefully the quality of the CCC replica/leisurewear will be better than Cotton Traders but I hope we don't have to watch Tigers in those twatty looking shorts (Sm19)

80 is for the Player quality version, does start from 50 for Replica shirts. About the going rate isn't it?

Cheers,

Tiger's stripes perhaps Hux?

A far better attempt than Sale's sharks gills a few seasons ago I think!

NO the line that starts under each armpit and swoops down ion the middle, it gave the Aussie shirt a DOnald duck appearance a few years back, its on the black one as well !

That Tigers shirt is hideous. What's with the green chest panel?
Presumably they'll be stocking them at the Leicester RNIB shop.

Do Canterbury only have one cutting machine and the settings can't be altered, as all their shirts are based on the same jigsaw of fabric pieces.

Personally I don't particularly mind the stripiness of that Tigers shirt; but not sure that even Leicester fans need a bib.

But then, Canterbury have never really had a well designed shirt for aesthetics, just good quality reproductions of shirts you wouldn't want to wear.
Personally I've always liked Cotton Traders - shame they're leaving rugby

I dont mind it to be honest. The playing kit is much better than the supporters shirt. The training kit is really smart too.

Canterbury have that cookie cutter design as they are focusing on the performance of the kit more than the looks. The lines separate the different materials used; offering body heat reduction etc.

I have a pair of player quality Scotland shorts which are a mix of cotton and lycra type material. They are by far the best performance shorts Ive ever worn.

DB one of the reasons for the change of supplier was their failure to keep up the supply chain to the RNIB shop at Welford Road, plus the deal offered by the new kit supplier. Salvi will look even better next year than this in his new kit.(Sm151)

Well to buck the trend I love it! As others have said it's the best wearing stuff & I find it the most comfortable too. Would be over the moon if we were to sign up with Canterbury when the Puma deal expires, and it's not like flames or BB&W camo is to everybody's taste!

It's the players wearing it that matters - and as along as the kit doesn't interfere with the standard of Rugby Tigers have been playing recently all will be happy at WR.

Tigers going for their 7th successive try bonus point this Sat - anyone doubt they will get it?!

I can understand giving next season's shirt an outing on the final home game of the current season if the sponsors and manufacturer won't change, but bit confused as to how their contract with Cotton Traders (which is presumably valid until the end of the season) allows them to wear Canterbury stash. Falcons did the same with their new Orion kit against Sarries.

Will Tigers carry on wearing it in the playoffs?

And almost on the same subject, aren't we due a new home shirt for next season? Or are we sticking with our current one for a third season? No problems if we are as it is one of the better ones we have had recently, just thought they last 2 years each before changing? If they are changing, any idea what to?

There's one season left on the current Puma deal. Pretty safe bet we'll have new home and away shirts for it, plus the hooped supporters shirt which the club was talking about before Christmas.

I thought that was probably he case, Spudley, though wouldn't be surprised if we kept the flames.

Is the striped shirt you're talking about the one players were wearing in training? As modelled by KPN:

I was talking about this shirt that the club asked in November whether we'd prefer it with or without sponsorship. Presumably they're still planning on going ahead with it.
