The Season that is.

All in all it's been a tough year for us Bath fans, but to enjoy the good times you have to experience some low points, lets hope thats it for a few seasons.

C'mon Bath.

Time to play some Smiths songs really loud, and hope the sun comes out tomorrow.

"I've seen this happen in other people's lives, now it's happening in mine" seems a suitable refrain for a Zbath supporter with a team finishing 8th.

I have been reminded on Twitter by the Ere exiles that not only has the season been a disaster for the Club but this seems to be an appropriate epitaph of ERE's season!

we can only hope it gets better next season, or I will have lost the habit of going to watch rugby, and with a young family that could be it, end of. Lets hope that the Farleigh family can come out fighting next season and actually score some tries.

Well, we did finish above Glos.

Let's see if I can reach that straw.....

I'll conveniently ignore losing both games to them.

As a long time Glos fan,can I join you all on this thread and say over and over again "Thank god its over!" It grieves me that you finished above us on points difference, though its tempered somewhat in the kowledge that we at least did manage to achieve the double over Bath this season!! Roll on next season and a new start. We've heard that before!

Much work to do in the off-season. Hoping for some better decisions from on high.

I thought the bar arrangements were more effective than previously. thumbs down

As one whose glass is always half full I feel that
it can only get better!
Deep in the gut there is a feeling that we are owed something for next season having suffered so much through this.

It is the right thing to replace the coaching staff - this can only bring new ideas and inspiration. Hopefully!
My only hope is that everyone concerned at the club gets out of there comfort zone - maybe the Farleigh experience has proved too much of a soft option.

Per ardua ad astra............

Agreed.

That truly was a shabby season, and we've had some rubbish over the last few years.

The only silver lining for me was that I didn't renew my season ticket this year and so saved a bit of cash (not through any prescience of mine, just family life getting in the way). Can't think of anything on the pitch that qualifies.

I hope the team that takes to the field next year, has a coach with a clear plan (and that includes how to attack), and show some pride in wearing the shirt.

I want a decent excuse to make the 5 hour round trip next year!

My main concern is that our squad is remaining largely the same as this year, that's what's holding back my optimism for next season

I share your concern that the squad will be largely the same...

Am I being too optimistic to hope that a proper coaching structure with a strong Head Coach will make a BIG difference

This season needs to be a huge wake up call. BC has held those he considers responsible to task and I assume that is why SIM and Haag are leaving.

There are some positives though

Fancois Louw, Carl Fearns and Ryan Caldwell have all looked like really good players.

Ovens,Heathcote and Woodburn look like great prospects while Eastmond could be a star in the making from what little has been seen.

Having seen Eastmond play league and 40 mins for Bath United I really want him to be the real deal. I think he is but i could just be clutching at straws as we have lacked so much invention this year.

Biggsy and Abendanon have stepped up and had their best seasons for Bath IMO.

We just need to keep these guys and get some real grunt up front.

Agree with you there Bathmad, You've left out Nathan Catt, who looks good, and certainly played a massive game today, Castro had him on a number of occasions but Nathan held his own and adopted, to the wily @#$%&.. Also coming up we have Kane palmer Newport, of whom I see massive potential, Kyle we clearly haven't seen to his fullest yet and bringing him on for the final ten seemed a little pointless today, he was eager however and had one carry right at the end where he was massively taken out, but rolled out of it and up and running, Banners looked sharper than i have seen him recently, it's been a long season for him and he needs a good rest..Today my standout player has been Carl Fearns outstanding tackling, 100% up for it and looked good..

This.

Change the coaches, re-site the training ground, it does not matter a damm if you don't have a decent squad.

If BRC are to be belived we have a MAXIMUM of 2 more signings to come.

We can put out a decent starting XV when all are fit and present but how often does that happed over a season?

Bathmad - good summing up.
