Agree but it was England that told him to play centre because all the other back three players could play more than one position and he needed to as well if he wanted to be picked for the tour.
Well that was "old" England. SL seems to believe you pick a player for his ability in 1 position, Wade being a prime example.
Boy - Matt is a useless centre but is capable of being a very good winger.
From what I've seen.

If the squad knew (or suspected) that the DOR & another coach were leaving at seasons end when the season was halfway through, it explains a lot - about attitude, spirit, demeanour & performance.
This rings true to me.
Talking up himself while talking down the coaches,I don't like that....We all know he looked uninterested and I'm afraid you can't blame the coaches for that,
While I agree that Banners is a better winger than a centre, he has put in more MOTM performances in the centre in the past two season than, say, the highly-rated Ben Williams.
Quote:with regards to the original pot, its sad that rugby fans on other forums mock a proffessional player for his aspirations.
I think Banahan's top speed is fine, it's his acceleration that's an issue - and that would be shown up more at 12 than on the wing...
