Playing on the wing for todays Champions Cup final..... I know I'll be cheering the man on! Interesting that The Rugby Paper were reporting a while back that he was interested in possibly joining a prem team.... No word on that, and highly doubt it will happpen...but if it did...

Yes he's a tube. Sarries are awesome though...and I'm not even a fan.

Sarries are even better than the mighty Exeter. They clearly want this.

Another final, another yellow dodged by Fazlet - high hit with the shoulder this time around 30 mins, no attempt to wrap an arm.

Match developing nicely after a great start from Sarries. Their Lions are showing well.

First first half try Sarries have conceded in this tournaent

Game on at HT. Good bit of niggle out there too.

It's definiteky something Faz still needs to get out of his game. It's lessened but he's still prone to do it.

Next 40 all to play for.

Owens yet again a hell of a ref.

French traditionally a bit 'shady' on pushing the interpretation of the laws. Difficult to see Sarries being all pious about it though. Faz needs to stop waving his arms around claiming all hard done by.

Saracens against the All Blacks would make decent money on pay-per-view

Moral as well as actual victory for Sarries, that was a nailed on penalty try and yellow card. They really are very good.

... IMHO, of course.

Now in Honolulu

The Lopez 'reaching' hand was a tough call

Agreed, 50/50 for me - wouldn't have argued either way.

Really don't like Sarries, but have to admire and envy them for the level of performance they can achieve. Just don't see us ever attaining that level as our owner and senior management just don't seem to have an effective plan to get us there.

Unstoppable force vs immovable object next week when they come up against Exe at Sandy Park...it's hard to bet against Sarries on current evidence, great though exeters run has been. It should be a cracker, can't wait.

Definitely not a penalty try or anything like that.......if he had kept his feet Clermont might have scored.

Really wanted Les Jaunes to win......

Previously I also really disliked Saracens. However, as a keen admirer of the mental side of sport, I've grown to love watching them in the really big games. Their mental strength and execution under pressure is so refreshing, especially as a Bath season ticket holder so infuriarated by our habit of making fundamtnal errors whenever pressure is on.

In addition, they've moved away from their external 'wolf pack' nonsense and now come across as a bunch of young, honest blokes working unbelievably hard to be the best they can be.

I agree that we're years off them, although to be fair I think everyone else is as well. No point trying to emulate them, I think the only way to get near them will be to invent something completely new. The Ford rugby league gameplan was probably the closest anyone has got.

We did beat them at home this season but doubt we could have lived with them yesterday...

Impressive certainly but in the past few years Sarries have been about stifling the game and the opposition - today they attacked from the start and just kept the pressure piling on. Some great, inventive attacking moves. Thoroughly deserved but there again with 13 internationals and 6 on the Lions trip they do have a first 23 brimming with quality everywhere

Bendy's try has to be up there with try of the season - a thing of absolute beauty right from the start

ESPN article headline says it all. What a waste but he was in the same peer group as Mike Brown .................

One of the very few Bath players who was a true clubman over the past decade. Doubt he would ever return.

At the time even the truest BBW fan would have to admit that Bendy was prone to the occasional 'oh dear god' moment at key moments in defence and that was always going to play bad at international level

But still just love seeing the guy flying down the wing and under the posts

My one 'If only' moment was at the Stoop, last game of the season when he waltzed through a sea of players, hurtling towards the line and then decided to side step Brown 10 metres out instead of out running him on the outside - gave Brown just enough time for a tap tackle and the scampering defence did the rest

I think if Nick Abendanon was a Kiwi he would have seen himself on the end of a lot of international caps. He does tackle very well in those 1-1 last line of defence moments when the opposition has broken through and although prone to a little mishap here and there his invention and intellect in counter attack running was genius!

I notice that Anthony Watson's best counter attacking season in a Bath shirt was the season he and Bendy alternated between FB and wing and I would not say that AW has looked as sharp since in counter attack tbh. Perhaps the wise Abendanon head pointed out a few gaps and gave him some good training tutelage.

I met a guy at my local a few weeks back, if Sarries win the double double he wins £25K

I remember watching him for a season in the united side. The results were shocking but Abendanon, Banahan and Burns stood out for us. It is a shame they all didn't stay and feature in the same first Team.
