Potentially leaving Toulon- deal has taken months to be sorted, and he's just been told he will have to take a significant wage cut (about half current salary). If he does leave Cote D'azur, three possible outcomes:

1. Bath- he visited Farleigh in March (deal for 2018/19 season), and Bruce Craig has pound in his pocket. Could bring deal forward.

2. Cardiff Blues- Halfpenny's heartland.came close to getting their man on a £420,000-a-year package, only for the deal to fall through over the length of the contract the Union were offered. Could reconsider..

3. Wasps- least likely to happen, considered move in December, but lost interest over player's high wage demands. Beale going. Possible replacement?

Wouldn't mind Halfpenny in our backline, but having said that, it would be at the expense of Homer, Watson and all the other young players coming through. We'll wait and see what happens...

Halfpenny has left Toulon to train with the Lions and he hasn't signed a new contract over there...

Bruce Craig WILL MOST DEFINITELY look to sign early If aware of the ugly situation....
