Gotta love a 0-31 at welford road after 37 mins...they are getting smashed. Wrong coach sacked?

35 mins, 31-zip

Tigers sacked Cockerill and have got even worse! Proud home record pulverized.

Tigers maybe poor but Glasgow really are really quite good.

Would the tiglets improve if they stopped blaming the officials? Or stopped relying on the home crowd to influence officials?

Just a thought...

This is an absolute gamechanger for Leicester. There is no one left to blame. They need a complete rebuild from top to bottom.

I'm finding it quite enjoyable over a few glasses of fine merlot.

6th try just conceded - if Munster away was bad, what is this?
Tgers board surely have to react to this.

How many will be left in the ground at 65 mins?

Glasgow are a good team though, with a good 10 in Finn Russell, perhaps that what Tigers need! (Sm159)

As with last night's match the TV failed to show the correct angle to make the right decision. That needed the view from the deadball line otherwise there was no way to be sure.

Wowzer indeed

Difficult not to enjoy that scoreline just a shame they couldn't add the 7 at the end to make it even better

This.

I'm finding the schadenfreude very enjoyable, particularly after all the bitter abuse Bath got last season from the dark site.

I imagine there's a wry smile in the Toulon area just about now. Its taken us 20 years to rebuild. Will it take the Tigs as long?

... IMHO, of course.

With due respect why would George Ford want to go to Leicester at the present time?

Let's be careful here, the Oadsby U11s are getting a big up on the Tigs site so maybe we'll be playing them instead?

Wrong thread, but very true, Sale, Leicester both seem rubbish choices, annoying for us there is no decision but clever in a way as GF's options are still wide open.

Sacking DOR mid season is not a good idea. Ben Kay looked shocked on BT Sport in the post game interview. Looks like more upheaval to come at Welford Road.

Sad to see - but on the schadenfreude front I cannot remember much sympathy from their board during our struggles last season. Quite the reverse in fact.

This result is another reason for the Leicester board to break the bank to sign someone like George to build a side around. Makes it even more certain IMV!

When I left the Rec I was happy; having just watched the Glasgow game back I am ecstatic. Outstanding day of rugby.

Incredibly, there's quite a few calling for Cock-head to return! It looks like the problems run deeper than just the coach...

I don't normally bother looking at other clubs' boards but I made an exception tonight...total meltdown over there. Very few rational posters accepting that tonight Glasgow were clinical and executed their game plan perfectly. Glasgow have now won home and away against Racing and Leicester and that deserves real respect.

Mauger does however appear to be a doomed man - they were pretty dire tonight.

You know what, I joked about this mostly due to the Tigers board's hysteria over it, but they could really do with someone like Stuart Lancaster at the moment. Not as head coach - maybe give that to Geordan or something, but still...

Glasgow were superb. Let's give them credit. Tonight most teams would have wilted against them.

They were celebrating our 9th place finish. Those 40+ point thrashings certainly took their toll over there.

There's genuinely one or at most two rational posters on there at the best of times.

I think the better way to judge behaviour of any teams supporters is when you meet them at the ground face to face or maybe at the pub afterwards.

You can't really judge them as anonymous posters on a forum.

A shocking scoreline though.

Just can't see it, George Ford has an international future, Eddie picks players that are excelling at their club. How can he do that in the chaos that is Leicester/Sale?

If he goes it must surely put his England selection in doubt.

If you own a rugby club with Mike Ford as your head coach/DoR, why on earth would you sign George knowing you couldn't sack his dad - a known divisive character who hasn't stayed in one place for more than a few years - without George flouncing off?

MESSAGES->author

22 January, 2017 12:25
Agreed Hasta, even George would be thinking I'm not putting myself in the same situation twice!

Eddie wants leaders, doesn't show much leadership if you just follow your dad everywhere does it.

The fact is that this has been coming - they have papered over the cracks very effectively for a few years but the problems have come home to roost. I get the impression there are problems right down to shareholder level with a lack of investment in the team for some years with less than stellar recruitment and no back up for key players. But I had mixed emotions on watching them being dismantled: I enjoyed the scoreline just as I enjoyed the rugby from Glasgow, but my overriding thought was that no one in the Premiership plays rugby at the level of Glasgow on this form. And I did actually feel sorry for Tigers - I must be getting soft.

There's also a bit of a meltdown over on the Quins site regarding the lack of quality in their squad following their weekend defeat...
