Charity shirt for the Clash
16 March, 2017 22:38
I'm very hopeful for the Clash, really looking forward to it...

...but this shirt is garbage.

Not sure of the symbolism

- Dyson BIG Ball machines might short out and burst into flames?

Whether you like the shirt or not, another opportunity missed to raise some cash for Charity for those who may have wanted one. Really not that hard to take pre-orders for a limited run.

Cheers,

I don't recall a H4H charity connection when the match was initially marketed, did I miss something?

The club have done a h4h charity shirt fit the last home game for the last two seasons. Makes sense to do it for the Clash instead. Just wish the shirt wasn't so awful.

Perhaps the club are targetting the casual armed services rugby supporter with Roko in the photo and the H4H link - just checked online and it seems the Army v Navy game at HQ at the end of April has already sold out of regular tickets, only hospitality available now. I also agree the shirt is unattractive...

How do Bath get it so wrong with these chaarity shirts.. I thought that Dyson one last year or the year before with the circles which were meant to symbolise Dysons ball blah blah were shite too!!

NZ Rugby Derby Game Shirts

The NZ super rugby teams have done a variation on their shirts this year for derby games and I really like them, basic but effective. How do we manage to make such monstrosities!!

Not so much 'chariots of fire' but 'balls on fire' or being charitable, 'fire in your belly'.

The official charity for the Army Navy game is 'Invictus'.

The Army have the British Legion poppy on their shirts, but no mention of H4H.

Well that should put him off rugby for life then.

Shirts don't build a brand, the club needs to concentrate on winning a significant trophy to start building a brand.

The club have a brand. This is a charity shirt, not their core brand.

It's just a rubbish shirt.

It is very odd that whoever decides these things, presumably in conjunction with the shirt supplier (e.g. we have a book of photos showing the sort of thing we could do at a knock down price), simply does not have a clue as to what constitutes an attractive shirt to today's young mostly male rugby supporter. One also has doubts that this is all going to benefit a charity - which charity - Bath Rugby Foundation? Happy to be corrected btw.

Yes you have to scrutinise the shirt very closely to realise it even has anything to do with Bath Rugby!
Something about playing for the shirt............?
