We are playing OK, getting quite a few turnovers, attack has been OK but defensively its very poor. Sale are finding lots of space in the middle and also out wide.

Banahan's pretty ropey defensively if we're honest. I know he's a good club man and lots of folks want to see him as a starting at 11 or 12 or 13 or 14 every week but i'm willing to be on my own and say he has his limitations.

Flo yellow card pathetic, but banners shouldn't have reached for that finish (if we'd recycled round the corner we'd have likely been in) it was naive and annoying in equal measure and sort of summed up our season. I will, however, take fifth place and look forward to a TB TM preseason tighten up of a lot of things. Oh, and no offence to the player, but Chris brooker is not an appropriate level for us

We came much higher .

Agree with sid the seagull, I think we all started to get a bit carried away (myself included) thinking we are better than we are.

After last season I didn't think we would make the top 6 let alone pushing for top 4.

Don't get me wrong I am very disappointed but given what we had to build from and with new coaches and all the GF unrest we have done well to finish 5th.

I just hope we can put the past few years with the burgess debacle and the fords behind us and truly start to build the squad we should be who are as proud as we are of the BB&W shirt.

Come on Bath, bring on next season I can't wait.

Even if you get utterly stuffed and have some injuries. I accept your viewpoint if we could give Wasps, Exeter and Sarries a close game but at the present time I don't think that would happen and could have a somewhat negative mental development on some of the players. Give them a good long holiday and come back refreshed, raring to go and ready to start building a proper TEAM

I tend to agree that 'the experience of playing in games like that is a key part of the mental development of a player and a team', and that an away semi-final play off could have had some long-term benefit for the likes of Ellis, Clark, Mercer, Obano, Homer.

But it could also have been a very dispiriting experience, and I'm pretty sure that JJ, Watson and Faletau were quietly hoping that Tigers wouldn't slip up on the final day; and even Flouw, Garvey, Kahn, Roko and Banahan may be relieved to park the season there, and give their bodies as long as possible to regain fitness and strength for next season.
