Season Tickets
03 July, 2017 16:42
The club has announced that the Season Ticket allocation for next season has already sold out in record time.
As a point of interest does anyone have a total number for the seats available for ST's?

Suggests that Bath fans aren't too bothered by the lack of success.

Home record was OK I think? Its the travelling fans that really need a standing ovation last season...

I think the number of season tickets is somewhere around 8,000-8,500.

A pal of mine was told last season by ticket office staff the number was 8,000 for season tickets. That may change as capacity increases...

It's the most iconic rugby ground in the world apparently.

To echo those above, I seem to remember that when Bath Rugby discussed the stats for the clash they said that there were just over 8500 STs?

Interesting outcome when owing to The Clash & other issues various S/T holders said they wouldn't renew (Sm56)

Speaking of which, Annie said that she wouldn't - did you in the end Annie? If you did, what swung it for you?

There is often a lot of bluster about not renewing. My impression is that far more people say they won't than actually don't.

Bath Rugby don't seem to make it easy for people to become a ST holder. My pal was told last year, 2016-17 season, he couldn't have one but could join the premium club [or something like that] for a few quid [50?] to get on the ST list for 2017-18 which he did and enjoyed early access to tickets for matches before general sale.

He turned up at the ticket office a week or two ago with a few other hopeful new ST birds before they opened so got a coffee and joined the queue. The ticket ofice duly opened and the small crowd entered only to be told they wouldn't be selling any until 11am that morning.

More coffee, more milling about in the ticket office with others arriving during the morning, before 11am, being politely reminded there was in fact a queue. He now has his seat but wonders about Bath Rugby's sales prevention processes...

I'm going to cough up for a 'premium membership'. 50 for the pleasure of buying tickets stings a bit, but happy to give it a try for next season to see if it's worth it. Even Arsenal are cheaper!

I did renew.

Nuff said.

Travelling in hope rather than expectation these days. Do not agree with the whole brand building emphasis, including he Clash, but I don't have to go - rather go to an ordinary Away at one of the other proper rugby grounds frankly. e.g. Exeter, Saints.
Very tough start to the season btw = eeeeeek!

p.s. Appropo absolutely nothing whatsoever, was at Polzeath earlier this week and Robbo and I think his son jogged passed on their way up from the beach. Just thought I would name and place drop! (Sm111)

The development of the brand/awareness of Bath Rugby and its values is essential for a professional business.

Both Chiefs and Saints.........we don't even have one of those monikers, are as aware of this as anyone else.

When you go to the Gardens I am aware how far Bath are behind on the whole commercial bit.

Our crowds are very similar but their whole set up is so much more impressive.

There is as always a balance.

As some know I have family connections with Saints and have been visiting their ground for many a year, including their magnificent rebuild as a rugby ground, and recent improvements.

Yet somehow, they have managed to keep the feel that the supporters are key and their loyalty and opinions important. I personally feel that Bath Rugby Plc has lost many on their way to commercialism - and I know I am not alone -but hey, what matters is new custom so those who have been loyal for years are really irrelevant and their views on a series of changes have proved unheard. Defend it how you will, that is how many feel. Let's hope the standard of rugby this season pushes these to the background.

I feel very strongly that the players and coach fully appreciate the Bath fans and that's all that matters to me, the corporate stuff from the club is just a necessity in a commercial world.

For me 'The Clash' is big annoyance but other than that I don't see any other way that the club is over commercialising and impacting us fans. Most of what the club is doing is hugely positive. For instance I have no desire to go back to the days where the half time queues were so bad that you had to decide between a pasty or a pee.

I also fine getting a ticket at the rec tough and mainly go away (much more satisfying winning away....when we do), most grounds are 1.5hours away and make the northern trips a
Weekend affair poss taking in a RL game aswell (Salford reds 18 quid), love the rec when I can get in but with most matches on the telly box I don't worry to much, I still get my Bath fix.

Re: Season Tickets

Have a number of those 8,000 to 8,500 tickets been sold to supporters who believed that TB'S 6 or 7 additional players would be international to world-class?

Are we to believe that BC has given up on promoting the Bath "Brand" and put his cheque book in the drawer?
Surely, on the basis of player signings to date we are nowhere near the new salary cap!
Or have we been misguided in our beliefs?
