Hi everyone...
Does anyone have any idea how to listen to the radio commentary whilst in Oz? Can’t get it through the bbc website...
Sorry to be a pain!

Soft? that was brilliant play by Toulon - and we still so nealry kept them out

Brew playing supremely well

Just keep the pace up. This has been an awesome performance from Bath.
Quote:It's costing us so much, that IIRC, we haven't given up the lead since minute 4Toast and Marmite
And we give another dozy stupid penalty away. Scott Quinnell talks about tiny margins and he's absolutely right...these small moments are what's costing us
Quote:ha fair one and glad it didn't. Super performance across the whole team...although I could have done without that last 3 or 4 minutes!Which TylerQuote:It's costing us so much, that IIRC, we haven't given up the lead since minute 4Toast and Marmite

Agree WT, I thought he substitutions were very well managed by TB, Brew excellent Watson....well what can you say, absolutely class, what's the betting that Toulon come sniffing. Also thought JJ was superb in defence. Great experience for Levi Davis.
Not a bad season already by all accounts with wins over Leicester, saracens and Toulon

Well done! Was cheering you on from the comfort of the sofa.
See you on the 29th! Gonna be a cracker. I’ll be in the Thatchers stand. Maybe a lone Wasp voice!

Delighted with what I have seen tonight, think that 4th try call was harsh but we control the group. Well played and well done to all at Bath Rugby...

Great win but “we control the group”? There’s one pint between the top 3 & none of the teams are easy home or away.

I thought Brew was excellent, going forwards and another try saving tackle on Trinh-Duc. Was he this good in his International heyday??
(Plenty of others worthy of mention too....but perhaps from less surprising sources)

(Where are BO, OB and BoB when you need a good slug of pessimism? Come to think of it, what is it with B’s and O’s?)

Amazing crowd reaction and atmosphere tonight. Best I have experienced for ages. Definitely the 16th man.

Brilliant win. Aggression everywhere and some fabulous individual performances. Front five were non stop, Obano, Dunn and Ewels never took a backward step. Louw world class. JJ and Watson the spark... but Brew MotM for me. The man is on fire and looks like he's loving every single minute.
Well done all involved, including the crowd. The Rec was rocking! This looks like a team being shaped in Todd's All Black image, and I liked his post-match comments, "We are a really good team, and we will grow from this. There is more to come." I agree. This is a special group of players, who are being well coached and excellently captained, who clearly really want to play for each other. It's far from perfect but it's looking good.
Allez allez allez.

Well that was fun! Great team effort! Loved the announcer telling us that Trinh-Duc's kick that went dead "was Toulon"!

This absolutely needs to be reported direct to the Club. As well as being completely unacceptable, this is entirely against the principles set out in the Supporters Charter. Please contact me directly if I can help - my contact details are on the BRSC website, allez-bath.

Well said.

To be fair, 20% possession and terratory in the second half isn’t ideal is it? Good job we are having storming 1st halves recently. Still, the game is 80 mins and if we keep winning you won’t get too many complaints from me...

I also had to instruct a drunken yob in the East stand to tone it down. Too many idiots coming to games that can't hold their drink.

I have said for a long time we have a squad biased towards being a great team on our day rather than strength in depth. A fantastic result and the sort of match which means I forgive them on the days we don't play at our best or lose games we should win.

I don't think we try hard enough to win the ball back, rather than not keeping it ourselves. Happy to stand off rucks. Works sometimes, not others. Great win though!

Banahan admitted as much in the post-match interview. The game plan in the second half was to not compete, but fan out and trust the defence to hold out, which it did aside from one (excellent) second-half try from them.
It's almost as if Louw (and then Kahn when he came on) is the only one allowed to compete for the ball. Seems a dangerous game to play to me, but against their team of superstars, they only won 10-3 with 80% possession.
I agree that it'd be nice to have more ball. But there's clearly a plan to play without it, it's not as simple as "we can't get it or hold onto it".

Dropped passes, balls thrown into touch, turned over on the floor, no look offloads into opposition hands. We couldn't maintain any sort of pressure in the second half because our basics evaporated, as they often do after we get a good lead.
Blackadder admitted on Saturday he's trying to get us to play with the ball more. We don't win the ball back or keep it ourselves particularly well.
