Sarries match thread

Decent first 5. We play phases and make steady progress but cough up the pill - sloppy retention as per usual.
Sarries' first passage looks very penetrative.

At least we got ourselves into some good positions! That’s a step up on the last few weeks. It’s also hardly surprising we lack composure after a dozen phases and have ball in hand in the opposition 22 - we haven’t had a great deal of practice of that part of our game for a while.

Against the wind in the second half will be a tough ask but if we stick with what we’ve done so far and try to minimise the mistakes I think we can continue to compete.

This is extraordinary. We have given them every single try on a platter. We just don't learn. And that's not coaching that is the players not being good/strong/clever enough to compete at this level. Once in a game is forgivable and understandable but four times now simply defies belief.

At least we have a variation on the ‘hoof defend’ game plan. Unfortunately I don’t think ‘chuck it at the opposition’ is likely to be any more successful. These players with proper coaching and a sound game plan will do ok. With the same coaching team we’re in a relegation scrap next year.

The fact that all these unforced errors are happening is not that the players who with Rhys and Flo are internationals are suddenly poor, perhaps it’s that they don’t believe in the game plan whatever that is and feel they have to try to do something off script to make something happen, that is i’m afraid firmly at the coaches door, the players just don’t buy into it.

They have to go.

Are the players making the mistakes or the coaches?

Doesn't help when they cut to a shot of our bench and a number of our players and having a smile and a laugh about something. This game and performance is the final nail in the coffin of an embarrassing season. I'm sure the majority of players are angry or embarrassed but the rest should at least try to look like it.

Well done Freddie. Another pointless grabber results in a try to Sarries.

WELL DONE!

Rhys stands still and ships it on. Burns kicks to nothing. Results in simple try.

Simple maths, why can't we bloody fix our problems at 10????????
