Season Tickets 2018/19
14 May, 2018 20:04
In an email: “We're delighted to announce Bath Rugby Season Tickets for the 2018-19 season will be available for renewal to current Season Ticket Holders this Wednesday 16th, at 12 noon.” End date is 15th June if you wanna secure yours.

Mine has gone up by £9, but I don’t know if that’s for only 15 games compared to last season.

Also, my Client Ref number has changed which is odd. Has anyone else’s?

Also also, the East Stand is only called just that, not the Dyson Stand. Dyson still as title sponsor at the bottom of the email though.

Some of the other clubs have increased their prices significantly - I was quite chuffed that mine had gone up by less than inflation.

Just an £11 increase on mine. My client ref seems to be different to the one on the ticketing website, but it is a ref that has been used in other correspondence from the club.

Thatchers Terrace East seems to have become Terrace North. Fair play to BC for both signing up Dempsey and for redefining the points of the compass. Increase seems reasonable as long as the credits from not attending the Clash haven’t been forgotten.

Will definitely renew. This time next year Rodney we’ll be European champions (Sm42)

Spoke to the ticket office, they said that the client reference is wrong due to a computer error by the system they use for posting out to clients. They did confirm the cost of my season ticket as correct and I note mine has increased by 3% which in this day and age seems reasonable and a lot less than other clubs.

All good news to me.

Reaching the CC made it easier to renew regardless of the price increase, although was irritated by the Season Ticket Renewal Fee.

£2? Life's too short to get irritated by £2*.

(*Having said that, why don't they just add £2 to the renewal price and be done with it - was there a way to avoid it?)

As long as you applied for it at the time it should automatically appear on your account when you renew online - put it into your basket and it will appear as a 'voucher'. If it doesn't then mention it when you renew on the phone.

Irritation probably overstates it, but IMO if there really is a cost to renew online (which I don't believe there is) just include it in the ST price.

The ticket price is VATable at the standard rate but booking fees are exempt. So the Club gets an extra 33p profit from the fee, multiply that by 8,000 means an extra income of £2,600. Every little helps reduce the losses!

Thanks CC.

Crossing a little with the stadium thread, but I wonder how much the STs will be in the year of the temporary stadium? Will those currently under cover pay the same I wonder (assuming that it wouldn’t be)? I also wonder how the seat allocations would work for those who have sat in the same position for 10/20/30 years when it’s all switched around, after all what was the riverside seating may no longer be the most favourable? None of the above affects me on the terraces (which the doc says will be kept) but it’s going to take a little thought to keep everyone happy and as we know there is not too much pragmatism in these matters...

The response is to the question why the £2 was not included in the total ticket price. So someone is prepared to pay £315 but not £313 plus £2 seems like clutching at straws to have a moan!

It's not a moan just an irritant that all companies use the "admin fee" and the practice should be outlawed by HMRC.

Booking charges were outlawed a while ago. Seems to me an 'admin fee' is the same thing by a different name.

I agree. But these fees do get people's backs up, however small they are. Whilst people might feel better if they understood why they were doing it in reality, for a few thousand, that reason really doesn't seem so strong anyway.

Not sure that's accurate BnG - the ban does not include fees that are not linked to the payment method (it was to cut out credit and debit card fees). Companies can still add booking or administration fees as long as they also apply to other forms of payment I think?

The "few thousand" is calculated on 8,000 ST's the other 6000 may pay it every home game. That could mean in total, of anything up to £36,000 a year! As I say every little helps!

I think you might have missplace the decimal there.
6000 lots of £2 is £12,000 per home match.
I'm pretty sure we play more than 3 home matches a year.

I'm not really seeing how the club is being transparent here, but that isn't the point.

There's sufficient evidence in this thread that it DOES irritate people, I'm not advocating it, it's simply not in question.

The question is whether that irritation is worth it.

They aren't dammed if they don't, they are very mildly, possibly only superficially, financially worse off.

I really didn't think that people finding this annoying would be the contentious part of this. Is it not slightly irksome if someone advertises something for a price, then sticks a couple of quid on it so they can make more money through a tax arrangement? If it doesn't bother you, enjoy Ticketmaster.

What I find odd is the amount involved, if have thought that the club would find buying that goodwill cheap at that price.
