Peach of a try by Gloucester at the end of their game against Leicester.

Harlequins soundly beating Newcastle shows that form over the last few weeks doesn't necessarily mean a great deal.

Yes Glos looked excellent and up to 3rd. Tigers were pretty awful for long periods.

That Tigers backline tho'. It's a real step down without George, Toomua, Manu, May and Veainu.

Great first half to watch but you'd be thinking Saracens would have buried that tigers team with 50 plus points.

I don't think there is a better attack Orchestrator than Cips though so there must be some very fragile ego's in that England squad because it just cant be form that is keeping him out.

I thought Tigers forwards stepped up to stop a meltdown though and can't decide if glaws took the foot off the gas, which would be displeasing if so.

It does seem that some of their stalwarts are on a downward trajectory - Cole seems the most obvious one he is a shadow of his former self these days IMO.

Gloucs have no one on international duty. That was pretty much a Tigers 2nd XV, and although hammered there were times in the game when they put Gloucs under real pressure.
However the quality of the Tigers squad is way lower than at any stage over the last 20 years.

NZ in crisis! only 1 try in their last 2 games, could be going home with 2 loses, how many competitive games do they have prior to the RWC Japan?

No, I think good teams work them out or concentrate on a dedicated game plan and are able to execute.
Boks had a few cracks at it and won in nz. A better England would have done the same last week, and whilst it was considered good for us at the time, it probably shows we are 4th at best and I think Aus and Wales woudld have abit too say about that.

Wouldnt ready much into a loss, they'll still be the team to beat next year but some teams will be emboldened that they are a bit closer.
On neutral ground, some teams chances and confidence may have risen.

Iím looking forward to the WC more than I have for the last few years now. It was beginning to look like a forgone conclusion a year or so ago but SA and Ireland have both proven they can beat NZ, England would be confident of doing so with a couple of Vunipola and maybe a Launchbury/Manu/Watson/JJ in there. Thereís then Wales, Scotland, France and Australia sniffing about should anyone not be on their game and Japan are capable of an upset or two on home turf.

Good for the world game that loss by the ABís yesterday.

Bristol playing some really nice rugby and pleased to say it is working in this first half against yawnsome Exe. Keep it up Bris, always happy to cheer for a team who have an interest in chucking the ball around, even Bris!!

Really??? I detest both teams, but as I'd like to see Bris relegated again I'm hoping Exe can do it in the 2nd half and deny the home team any points.

Leicester are very similar to us. On paper they have a pretty strong side, but they don't play with any intelligence. Every time they play Austin Healey makes the same comments about what they are doing wrong but every week it is the same.

The table remains very close below the top 2. We are awful, but so is much of the premiership. We don't have to get too much better to be top 4, having said that we don't have to get too much worse to get relegated

Sarries have 18 players unavailable but they are just in the winning habit / their whole squad donít panic because they just donít expect to lose it seems.

They certainly have the winning habit. I'd put it down to a quality coaching team with a game plan that the whole squad buys into and fully understands. Any new player seems to seamlessly carry out what is required.

Bath would win trophies with their coaching team.

This.

The table is absolutely crazy, with most teams having a losing record and only separated by a handful of bonus points. We are not happy, but neither will Saints or Tigers fans be happy. Wasps have been on a hideous run of late. Really outside of Sarries and Exeter, only Glaws will be content.

Wasps are missing 20 players and have actually had some fantastic wins in the past year or two.

Instead of looking at the cold hard stats of the table, why not look at our performances on the field, and judge those instead. Also consider how many games stick out in your memory since Blackadder took over as being really, really impressive or the sort of performance to get you out of your seat. Yep, I'm struggling to think of any too. In two and a half years. And please, no one say Worcester away.

I agree. I think itís missing the point to find reassurance in a general lack of consistency. Whatever is happening at other clubs we need to focus on Bath. It is true that we have no right to expect to beat any Premiership team but most of us are not saying that. Our performances have been sub standard & we are not learning from poor performances nor addressing areas of weakness. That is troubling.
