Agree Matt, in fact you could say 8, 9, 10, 12. He is a big lad Tuima!

It will be interesting to see how Tuima goes from the start and how his fitness holds up, so far Iíve only seen him come on later in matches for Willis.

All of those changes appear to have disrupted them a little - quite a few mistakes and not much creativity with ball in hand in the first half.

Unreal decision to not take the easy 3 for the lead at 70 mins.

Looks like heís going to go the full 80 and just managed a potentially try saving tackle outside in the 75th minute.

This has to be the closest match Iíve seen between England and Italy at any level!

They played poorly but sneaked the win and live to fight another day. Will be a different kettle of fish against Oz next though.

lucky (?) 1 point win for England, but unlikely to be enough to get them out of their group as they can't catch France even if they get a BP win against them. Would need Italy ro turn over Ireland.
England's worst U20s world cup for over a decade. No good for the future.

as poor an england u20 team as i have seen for many years. indecisive, lucklustre, poor skill execution and no perceivable game plan apart from trying to overwhelm italy in the set piece and maul.

england had a good kicker in fullback hodge. elsewhere the forwards frequently knocked on or allowed themselves to be stripped, the backs looked like they'd just met each other for the first itme in the changing rooms.unforced errors were off the chart.

dingwall the captain who bossed the play had a very poor match and for some reason didnt appear after half time. england's worst player was sam maunder of the chiefs, who made countless errors. his box kicking was utterly atrocious and several italian tries came diectly from ball he kicked away to their dangerous backline.
as for de glanville he is clearly a class player with lovely distribution and an elusive turn of pace, but he wasnt on the same wavelength with those around him. he didnt really play a tradtional first receiver 10 role with the ball frequently bypassing him from phase play. one assumes this was part of steve bates' plan, though what it was supposed to achieve is hard to say. he took more control in the last 15 minutes. he made a couple of errors, restarting with a kick straight into touch and getting charged down just 10 metres from his own line. generally though he looked a class above the other england players (of course i would say that!), apart from chiefs' capstick who was very good.
england squeezed out the win but italy were the better side and played most of the rugby. england won't make the play offs and don't deserve to. as for de glanville, 13 might be his best position for bath.

You have to remember these are under 20 players, wasn't a great game but quite a harsh post.
TDG didn't have a good game at 10 but is that his position? He has been at full back, centre and fly half. Personally I think he needs to settle in one of those spots or he will end up in a similar position as James Hook for Wales.
Don't think he was helped by Maunder, for me the 9 makes the 10.

These players are no more or less talented than their predecessors over the last 9 Championships but performance and confidence would suggest something is not quite right.

The RFU may well be wondering why they hired Mssrs Melville and Ryan and let him get rid of a successful coaching group in Fletcher, Walton and Earnshaw to bring in their mates.

Instead of trying to find a way to salvage his Yorkshire club from self destruction perhaps Mr Melville should focus on his day job and bring back coaches who clearly knew how to manage young talent. Or maybe he too has a good number lined up with the Premiership or their financial overlords?
