Wonder how big a dent he's made in their salary cap, or whether his worth and expectations have now been tempered after a few years out of the bubble.

Hanks should help with his man management as he's dealt with him before at Wasps.

One to watch unfold I think is the best way I can describe this, for me personally.

More like their doll's house player, on the form he displayed at Sixways last August!

Will the Sale management get confused if he is their "Marquee Player" I can see this leading to him spending a lot of time in their car park throwing the ball around with drunken Mancs ;-)

In the same mould as Danny Care I'm afraid, but with a stronger bladder ! Sale are welcome to him. As for his England chances, he will have to work his way up in the pecking order past 6 or 7 others. From what I have seen of Cips he is no more likely to get an England call in the medium term than dare I say Joey who is of similiar age and still classed as "promising"!

As far as EnglNd call up is concerned, maybe Cips is a has-been, maybe not.

Better than being a never-been though.

Great signing for them great player with a point to prove if he can do away with the distractions he will get an England recall.

Would say as for his England Aspirations I would say there are at least 4 players ahead of him for the jersey so can't see him breaking into the squad unless he has a monumental season and keeps his nose clean.
