Te'o for Wasps?

I'd forgotten, so much has happened over recent weeks, that Te'o hadn't played in a Gold team - or trained under him, I suppose.

It doesn't sound from the article that they have even met. Perhaps I'm wrong?

Life is really too short to stuff this particular mushroom - but drawing the board's attention to an article which had appeared on the WN website only a short while before is hardly a duplication of a previous discussion.

Perhaps I was wrong to write the headline in a similar way to the first thread but the interest lies surely in this particular quote:-

“We need to have a conversation with Ben to see where his mind is,” said Gold.

I wonder how many other England players will have similar comments made about them by their DofRs / coaches.

Accept the Le Roux with good grace and with the humour it was given. It is meant to be fun not a damning indictment of intent.

Going back to the title of this thread - Doesn't look like it now he's gone off with a HIA.

Fingers crossed its not too bad.

he looked ok going off. They take 10 minutes to do anyway so he wasn't going to reappear

Even thouhg he has played more times for England that Warriors he has still had very little time on the pitch, so subject to HIA I would expect him to be raring to go.
Bench for Wasps would be good.

I wouldn't rush him back. I don't see us getting anything at Wasps anyway so why risk him, especially when Willison and Olivier have combined well together? Keep him back for the Sale game, which we have much more chance of getting a result in.

If he is fit enough by Sale, give him 40 mins and then start him against Bath.

Having seen him on saturday, I cannot believe that he will be fit to play for us this weekend. Sale may be pushing it.

I felt for 5 minutes like the innocent player who has been wrongly penalised by the referee and then marched back ten yards for disagreeing with the decision.

But that was a few days ago - and the World has moved on.

There would have been a time when I'd have agreed with this statement, but then I'm reminded that for many folk it simply hasn't (not actually aimed at this board, unless the cap fits).

I'd like to see Te'o back as soon as possible, you play your best team. I'm first to agree that Willison and Olivier have played well, but I'll still go for the best XV, whatever that turns out to be.

Would rather he was fully against Sale than slight against Wasps.
But I fully agree he gives us options we haven't had.

I'd love to see him vs wasps. I want to see what our very best team can achieve against the team that is top of the table.

Official - he has failed the concussion protocols and will not be involved against Wasps.

As much as I moan about Ben's availability this season and value for money, I would rather he gets proper sorted with this kind of injury.

John Thomas retired due to epilepsy potentially induced by concussion and impacts throughout his career.

We all talk about the collisions getting bigger, and this is likely to become an increasing consequence of such hits.

Hope he gets sorted.

In The Times this morning it is reported that England internationals other than Te'o will miss Sunday's game:- Launchbury, Daly and Hughes. Haskell will however play.

I don't think rugby should be a pillow fight, and sometimes I worry some refereeing decisions go the wrong way in terms of what is and isn't appropriate physicality...

...but the game seems to be getting physical to the point where its becoming impractical......
