D vs Wasps - stats

Hopefully someone can help format this again?

The positives are that our missed tackle count was lower by 8 and we didn't leak as easily through the centres.

However, what the stats don't show are the poor kicking out of hand from Olver that gave away field position at a critical time and that Shillcock has shown no defensive ability this season. Can we really afford to develop players out of position in premiership games at the cost of losing the game, surely the A league is the place for that?

Too much hype and fast tracking of our young players isn't always a good thing as they have been ruthlessly exposed at this level and their confidence will have taken a huge blow.

We urgently need a mature proven 10 that can manage a game and a specialist full back on the bench. Would Pennell (unfit) or Howard (fit) have leaked those last two tries as easily?

Name Tackles made missed Minutes
Bower 6 1 80
Singleton 8 0 70

How about this? from ESPN. TC shows turnovers conceded - 2 for Olver (presumably kicking out on full), 3 for Lewis (breakdown).

Most missed tackles are:
GJVV - 4
Heem - 3
Adams - 2
Phillips - 2
Cox - 2

You can forgive the forwards as the more tackles you attempt, the more you tend to miss. Shillcock didn't miss a tackle but the stats don't show that this is because he was in the wrong position to make a tackle for the final try. Heem and Adams also missed a few.

Players have to be developed in the A League.

Some shift by the back row again with the tackle count.

MSR on your chart what do all the columns mean? I assume T = tackles and MT = missed tackles in which case the stats are different to the orginal post

You are correct WBW. LW - Lineouts won.

I got these stats from ESPN Scrum who are normally pretty reliable.

134 tackles vs 112 tackles on the stats whichever one you look at that is a lot of work to do without the ball.

Sam Lewis is rapidly becoming our best player for his sheer work rate. Imagine him with Denton and Mama as a trio - injuries argh!
