Dominant pack.
Dominant back line.
Dominating the game.

Is a shame that Heem let himself be sidestepped by a second row, itís like he watched it happen in slow motion, should not of let him score there.

Still feel that Leicester will rally in the second half and just win the game. 2 bonus points would be nice.

If we can keep our guys fit we can go toe to toe with almost anyone in this league.

Happy to go in ahead but could have done without that try at the end.

Hereís hoping that the team come out and have a strong start to the second half.

Has the feel of an annoying 'one that got away' loss about it...

Had just started watching England on NowTV when I found our game on Bet365.

No regrets in sacrificing the £6.99 day-pass - one of the best performances I've seen from Worcester in recent years (and the commentator seemed well impressed as well).

Incidentally, he kept referring to the statistic that Worcester had never won at Welford Road from the first game we played there in 1865 - but WRFC wasn't formed until 1871?

Edit: Just found the source of his [mis]quote on [www.leicestertigers.com]

Quote:
Tigers Offy
Worcester made their first visit to Welford Road back in 1895 in the Midland Counties Cup but the teams have met on only 27 occasions in more than a century.

Yesssss what a result, what a performance and weirdly enough we could have done better, some of our penalties were brainless although I was cursing the ref by the end as I disagreed with more than one decision.

Tigers with their internationals would have been a different proposition but I thought it was a well deserved win today.

Also if I remember right we won without a single successful penalty kick all game, so we can win without a kicker if the rest of our game is good enough.

Mills MoM for me or the forwards as a collective, I really thought Waller came of age today too.

Fantastic result. Well played to the team and well done to the coaches.

For the second week running, we have come out after half-time and got the first score, which is so crucial and something we have been notoriously bad at.

At the beginning of the season we were making so many handling errors but some of the interplay and offloading, and not just between the backs but the forwards too, has been top class this week and last. That's so important in keeping momentum, moving forward, and turning defences.

I think what's most impressive, though, is that all the hard work that has led to this turnaround and improvement has been done against the backdrop of ownership and DoR speculation and unease.

Let's make sure that we build on the last two weeks, start turning winning into a habit, and beat Sale at home on Friday. The guys deserve a good crowd there to cheer them on.

Whatever you do, do it safely!

Can't resist a little verse:

The day we went to Welford Road
We hoped, but not with great belief
That Worcester just might discommode
The Tigers, and provide relief
From always propping up the table.
A losing point would help, for sure,
But still the ďgallant failuresĒ label
Would haunt the team for ever more.
But whatís this? Alf and Josh both cross
And things are looking up at last
Then Josh again, and then the boss,
Bryce Heem, takes charge Ė by God, heís fast!
Three pairs of hands, a flick to Jack;
Lo and behold, a try sublime
Surely now they canít bounce back
And all at once itís bonus time
Thanks to Heemís amazing break
Then Ryan Mills completes this ode
To put the icing on the cake
The day we won at Welford Road.

Just watched the highlights and there are some cracking tries by the Warriors, Adams second try was a great finish and the Singleton try was special. On Adams my only worry is he will want to play for Wales at some point and therefore I believe under their selection policy he must play for one of the regions.

I sense I'm in a minority of 1 here - but Adams' try just edges it for me - really lovely, coherent 15 man build up through a couple of phases, unpicking the defence as it went along and finished off by a lovely deft kick and lovely calm collection too - a really complete try.

Bryce's break was great, and Pennels off load very flashy, though to an extent saved by Fasoliva's sticky hands - all very exciting and skill full - but more opportunist.

That the Adams' one was really crafted and worked on by the team gives it the edge

A shame that Sale won at the weekend otherwise we would have been well and truly in amongst them.......still, just a few days to wait u till we area!

Ah, but it actually gets Northampton close. Two wins in our next two games (very, very possible) and we will suddenly be well and truly in amongst 3/4 clubs. I think it is actually a pretty good result for us.

You're right, WS: if we can win ours the other games in the next two rounds offer a real prospect of getting in amongst the scrap for 7th. Saints are on 21, Falcons and Quins 20, with Sale on 19.

At the same time we play Sale on Friday, Northampton host Newcastle. Quins are at home to Sarries on Sunday.

When we play Irish, the next day Falcons host Quins, Saints host Exe, and Sale are at home to Bath.

Whatever you do, do it safely!

We have two contenders for Citizen Watches Try Of The Week: Singleton and Adams. Unfortunately I don't know how you vote if you don't use Twitter, but somebody else might. I'd have gone for Josh but for the sheer beauty of the play leading up to Jack's score.

+1!

I really like Singletonís try.

It starts deep into our own 22 with Pennell receiving the kick and passing inside to Heem, who then plays ďheads upĒ rugby not a set practiced 500 times plan, sees the gap and has the speed, skill and strength to hit the very small and closing gap to make the initial break.

He then continues to play with heads up looking for support and who is there our loose head prop who must have run 50 meters and kept up with Bryce. Waller takes the pass and has the awareness to swing it outside to Pennell, who started the move in our 22, who then steps outside his man commits the defender and slips the ball out of the back of his hand to the next supporting player, ANOTHER forward Alfie who holds onto a pass many backs would drop.

Alfie cuts inside and commits 2 more defenders creating space on his outside for yet another supporting front row speedster to take and storm over the line.

A fantastic try incorporating, a fullback(twice) a winger, a loose head prop, a backrow and finally a hooker.

Brilliant.

A massive team try playing heads up rugby!!

Agreed. It is the combination of forwards and backs that makes the try special for me, with the forwards showing ball skills equal to the backs.

A few games ago we didn't have any support for a line break. It was a real frustration for me, and luckily one that has been fixed.

I had to vote for the Singleton try, it should be one up for try of the season. Adams' try was fantastic, but included poor defending by Tigers. Singleton's try was purely down to good play, a gap exploited by Bryce followed up by good support running and excellent offloading. Sublime.

TVM think you'll find that it's actually the Adams solo effort which is in the Try of the Week video.
Deserved to be in contention as well though!!

Suspect it was not included only for the need to be fair on the other teams... poor relations that they are.
