To sign a new deal.

Could take this a variety of ways but I'm thinking that it's more his character than anything else. At least negotiations are underway.

Yes, I was rather alarmed to see the huge headline on the back of the paper - but rather more comforted by reading what was actually said.

As with a number of things, we are all having to be patient.

Must be on the shortlist for captain for next season if he stays...

This is what he said in January last time - Asked whether he had sorted out his future, Mills replied: “No, not at the moment. I am not really worried too much about that sort of thing at the moment.
And this time in Dec - "I am in no rush, I never rush.”
He's done it all before. At least the management have 'asked' him again, so he doesn't need to go looking.

Hopefully the new owners will be sorted very soon and players will queue up to sign. Maybe this will get us a top draw DoR as well.

DOR appointment, I believe, is on hold until the sale goes through. Sensible to let them make the appointment now if we're close.

The last I heard was that the DOR appointment and the selling of the club were going ahead in tandem, but with the sale given priority as any new owners may have their own ideas around a DOR. If a sale didn’t seem to be imminent i.e. by end of year, then a DOR would be appointed by the current board.
