Not sure on the fitness of Schonert, CSW GJVV, Hougaard, or Hammond. Hopefully they all come through training this week. Would like to see Potgieter/Cox reintegrated from the bench, plus Shillcock gives us a boost.

Harsh on Dowsett, Fao'siliva, Howe and Olver but there's some tough selection calls to make.

Interesting dilemma on Olver vs Shillcock. I was over in Oyonnax on Friday and Olver had a really good game both in his game management and also kicking off the tee. A good problem to have for once.

No,Alfie for me not Potgeiter on bench.Continuity is key,Dewalt just come back from injury so maybe not quite match fit for such a big game.
Alfie can cover 8 too.

When was the last time we had a choice of two decent 10s?

Olver Vs Shilly? I'd be going for Shilly every time...

1 - He is also capable of playing wing and full-back so gives greater flexibility.
2 - He is at a more consistent level than Olver.

No doubting Olver has had a couple of decent run outs this season, but he has also had some absolute stinkers. I wouldn't say the same for Shilly (other than some people moaning about his defence against Newcastle in Round 1).

Also - Lance is going to be leaving us very soon. We need to be deciding quickly who our first choice 10 for the remainder of the season is going to be and sticking with them. With everything else going on, we've seen how consistency in starting XV helps - We don't want to be rotating between the two of them, trying to work out who is better.

Shilcock ahead of olver every time for me.

Other people may have seen him have a good performance this season but it's not been any of the games I've seen him play this year, olver has a way to go before I consider him decent.

Shilcock is the future for me.

Which is why he should be on the bench, JP. He's not going to get enough game time if he's not picked.

Whatever you do, do it safely!

We don't want someone on the bench for that game who is searching for game time. He can get that elsewhere.

Just for the record, I’ll say it again....

Jamie will be our first pick 10 by the end of the season, injuries apart of course.

Our only long term problem with Jamie will be keeping him.

If Lance sticks around, as reportedly could be a possibility, than Jamie will have a fight for the 10 shirt. Can only be good!

Healey has been very complimentary of late. We should be taking five points, but I think the pressure will stifle us and someone will win by just a couple of points.

I think we will score 4+ tries if the Irish defence bring their "A game"
Whether we kick our points or not will determine if we can open up a gap.

You misunderstood my response. Not in the least bit negative. I expect a win, not sure we’ll run away with 4 trys though, more likely a niggly narrow mid-teen points sort of affair.

Just thought “Healy says we’ll win” lacked a bit of content as a news item, so I’d accept it at its face value.

Odds on a draw? Has happened in these relegation battles before. I remember one against Leeds a few seasons back. Our team is good enough to win well on paper (if FH is fit) but I agree with the others above that the monumental pressure will stifle both teams and it will become a nervy fist fight with very little quality on display. Hope our lack of a consistent kicker doesn't bite us on the bum.

Lack of a consistent kicker ALWAYS bites us on the bum.

Many’s the game we’ve left 9 or 12 easy points unscored.

Just means we have to be scoring tries instead.

Irish will view this as @#$%& or bust and little to lose and may well try running it from pretty much everywhere IMO.

We have the game to do similar but nerves or expectation appear to get the better of us when the need is greater than usual. I give you Sale performance in support of my view when pressure was increased to deliver 3 on the bounce for the first time in a year.

We also delivered massively against Bristol at home last year, under huge presssure. First ten to fifteen mins will set the tone. If we have a nervy start it will be a hirrible game. If we come out firing like we can do then we could run riot.
