I'm puzzled

I don't pretend to know as much about Warriors as most on this board so I'm asking an honest question.
A month or two ago we were all totally disillusioned, no DOR, the club being sold and no one who could kick goals. So on the first day of 2018, no. 1 has been solved and seems to be working out well so far. No. 2 seems to have gone away or are least it's not been discussed much on here. But my bewilderment stems from suddenly Chris P kicking goals with a very reasonable strike rate.
Where did that come from? Did he suddenly stick his hand up on the training park and say " Give me a go, I can't be any worse than the others" . Too right! He may just have helped save our season, not alone but certainly an important part of the jig-saw.

PS Happy New Year.

Chris used to take the longer kicks several years ago. He had a period as Captain which seemingly went along with a period of somewhat diminished form, followed by some significant injury time.

He stopped kicking, but this also coincided with the arrival of specialist kicking 10s, up to and including Goodie, so there wasnít so much call on Chris.

There was also talk of a recurring leg/groin strain which meant less licking was a good idea, and a full back needs to kick!

Maybe the mature CP has fully restored confidence in his game, and feels happy to take back the responsibility for the place kicks, we canít be sure.

Just a personal opinion, no inside knowledge claimed, others may have a different view.

Only missed 2 on Friday in very difficult windy conditions; one of which was because the ball was blown off the tee!

Itís a good find when consistent 10ís are hard to come by. Heís a club pro who appears to have not wavered his commitment to the club for the support given to him. Keep it going CP as well as keeping your Full Back head screwed on too.

Good spot SS, it seems itís as simple as the mature CP can take the added pressure.

Thanks folks. It seems that for whatever reason is head is "in a good place". (Apologies for that horrible expression).

Long may it continue. I really believe that lots of things are now coming together and we'll still be playing premiership rugby come September and I don't think we'll be struggling for survival in the latter part of next season.
