And we’ve announced.....
Starting to bother me this club. Usually I try to stay positive but how can you be with Warriors? It’s got past tedious for me now to a point that I’m bored of it.
I’ll support the club because I have an affinity towards it but @#$%& my frustrations levels are through the roof. You just get the feeling we will never progress, always loose our best talent and either get relegated or be down the bottom.
I hope Solly has someone equally as good as Spencer because he gave our pack a huge edge. We’ve lost two potential exciting locks with CSW who was huge as well as Will.

Wonder if he will break the HooDoo Tigers have on locks the sign from us. Not one has gone on to consistently get in the EPS.

It does feel like death by a thousand cuts.

I am heartily sick of hearing players who are leaving say words to the effect of "I'm really grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity/ standing by me/ helping me through this time" (insert the relevant platitude!).
You're not grateful enough to stay are you!?
I totally understand players leaving and their reasons for doing so, but PLEASE spare us the cr4p, we don't need it and it doesn't help!

To the board of Worcester Warriors,
I’m not going to bother anymore, because you clearly aren’t.
Abmatt out.

How do you know it was the boards fault he’s leaving? We might have offered him a huge contract. Or were you in the negotiations?
If a player wants to leave a club, there’s no stopping them.

How can we progress if we keep losing players like Spencer.
dexile CWS and Taylor came through the academy but that didn't stop both of them leaving.

I dont think anyone can deny his words in the media havent been misleading. I understand where we are in the food chain and understand players come and go but why come out and say how much you love it at Worcester and then move less than a month later. He almost certainly knew at the time of the interview wirh Worcester News that he'd be at Leicester next season, the article says that he'd already had an offer. It's just a bit of a d1ck move and one which there is no need for.

Yeah, thick tw*t, I hope it catches up with him.

It’s called towing the party line until such time he’s able to confirm otherwise. What’s he going to say to the press “I’m off mate”? Of course not.
Think there’s a bit of naivety if you think otherwise.

Big loss to the club yes. But England standard? No way. For a big guy, he doesn’t get over the gain line anywhere near as much as he should and he has no speed. Not good enough yet, but still a loss as I say.

I spoke to Will today and said how sorry I was that he was leaving. I also said this was doubly so because he had given us some hope with his interview two weeks ago. He actually looked a little sheepish ...

I spoke to him just after you, and it wasn't so much sheepish as shell-shocked by your purple trousers.

I understand the reason Spencer gave to the club was he wanted to play for a team in the Top 6 and playing top level European rugby as he sees shining in those games as the only way he will get an England spot, we offered him a significant amount of money and he has signed for Tigers for considerably less money than we offered him.
Quote:Warriordad
Just to put it out there do we now stop playing spencer? Other teams will refuse to play players who have sign out there if they have sufficient depth.
Quote:Fiver
I can't remember if I heard that Eddie had given Will some things to work on. I hope so, as that will provide the motivation to play at 100% for the rest of the season.

Patgadd my trousers were nought against your yellow ones.

Purple? Well there goes any chance I ever had of becoming middle class. People really need to stop raising the bar.

Anyway, back to Spencer. Here's Denton's opinion:-
[www.worcesternews.co.uk]
I think this implies that it was indeed not money which was the issue - but the likelihood of international recognition. This ties in with comments above. There continues to be a prejudice, it would seem, that England only select from certain clubs. I'm not sure that this is correct but there is maybe evidence to the contrary. If there is nothing to choose between player A and player B except that Player A plays for, say, a heritage club and Player B plays for a bottom feeder, is it Player A who is always chosen?
