Other end of the experience scale to last week! I would really like to have seen some of these guys play against Exeter!

Not sure who Nick David is.

Best news is that Nick Schonert is back just in time for the big games coming up.

Gareth covering Loosehead. Shows our lack of depth there, although realise he can play on both sides.

True, but most have realistic aspirations to match day 23.

Is George Wootten our current 3rd choice fit SH ?

Yes,great to see him back.Important game time before league games.
Also he would've been in the England squad if not for being injured.

Sam has faith in this team. Hopefully one or two of them enjoy the step up.

There will an incentive for some fringe players to impress if their contracts are amongst those due this summer.

Dragons can't progress, so I'm guessing they've put out their academy side. I can't be bothered to spend time looking it up myself, has anyone else looked into it?

31 caps for the Springboks - but I can't imagine any of them were playing at 10!!

Great to see Nick back so early. He was meant to be out for 6 weeks originally so heís one or two weeks ahead of schedule.

I think itís the first time himself and Gareth will have partnered each other in the scrum and Iím quite excited to see how that pans out.

Also super excited to see Ollie Lawrence make his ďfullĒ debut too...Iíve got really really high hopes for this kid. I can really see him coming on next season once heís left school

The 9, Charlie Davies, is pretty handy. England U20 in 2010, and decent experience with Wasps and Stade. Itíll be his 50th start for Dragons, and heís no slouch.

Nick David is our academy Full Back Ake.

I bow to AJWarriors, who seems to have inside knowledge of what's going on a lot of the time. but I have watched all the Academy home games, and Afeafe Haisila Lokotui seems to be our regular full back - I can't recall seeing Nick David play. Incidentally, I know there are some on this forum who will agree that the Academy games are well worth attending. We saw Josh Adams and Perry Humphries metaphorically growing up, as well as Ollie Lawrence, Beck Cutting, Will Butler and others. Also, while he was being shaded out of the first team squad by Heem and Adams, Dean Hammond put in some quite spectacular performances.

AJWarriors may have insider knowledge but if you do a quick Google search you can find out Nick David is a fullback in our academy, irrespective of whether he's played. Bit unnecessary that bit, congratulations Patgadd, you went to our academy games.

Uncalled for IMHO. Yours, not his.

If you need to check, youíre not.

The wonderful John Betjeman loved to ridicule the pretentious world of the aspirant middle classes:

How To Get On In Society

Phone for the fish knives, Norman
As cook is a little unnerved;
You kiddies have crumpled the serviettes
And I must have things daintily served.

Are the requisites all in the toilet?
The frills round the cutlets can wait
Till the girl has replenished the cruets
And switched on the logs in the grate.

It's ever so close in the lounge dear,
But the vestibule's comfy for tea
And Howard is riding on horseback
So do come and take some with me

Now here is a fork for your pastries
And do use the couch for your feet;
I know that I wanted to ask you-
Is trifle sufficient for sweet?

Milk and then just as it comes dear?
I'm afraid the preserve's full of stones;
Beg pardon, I'm soiling the doileys
With afternoon tea-cakes and scones.
