Mr P seems to be under the radar at present.

I have not seen him mentioned as a retained back row.

Is he out of contract at the end of the season?

If so I hope we retain him - when fit he is an elemental force.

Anyone know?

I don't know but I also hope he's with us for next season, he made a significant impact when he has played for us in the past, very under rated I feel.

He is underrated, probably because he has been out such a lot with injuries. He is such a typical South African not enormous number 6 who you don't pick out because he's at the bottom of the piles of bodies. He reminds me of Jake de Boer who was captain of Gloucester just before we got into the Premiership.

Plus he's got some pretty explosive pace for a sizeable backrow, and real bite in the collision.

Dewald punches above his weight and as a result picks up injuries. Dewald and Kiwan for example clear out very hard and very low - hence broken collar bones.

Great player.
But think he will be off next year.
Hope I'm wrong, but something needs to balance the books & know there is a few more coming.
I really like him & his random slightly weird but very thought provoking bloggs....just wish there was more.
Hope I'm wrong, but doubt I will see him again
