With the greatest of respect to Jonny, Iím surprised by that.

He didnít have a bad game at all though.

Agreed. Not sure they watched the game. Dowsett was much better when he came on. Spencer, Schonert, Denton and Willison all had huge games!

No worrries folks.

Jonny is out for the Wasps following continued and persistent 'late hits' from Warrior supporters(Sm164).

I am sure in reality that there were better 9's and 14's out there over the weekend. But at the end of the day, it is a Times piece of journalism, which is maybe more about generating debate and conversation, rather than being a significant insight into player performance in the Prem otherwise it would be completely full of Sarries and London Irish players.

AS FF suggests there are some on this forum who will never accept that JA had a good game.

Iím not surprised The Times picked Jonny.

His was a very positive contribution towards what was for most commentators an entirely unexpected result.

Not suggesting he didnít have a good game, but better than Faf de Klerk in the comeback or van Zyl who scored two tries for Irish? Merely surprised at his inclusion.

USAW,

I'd agree about both of your choices for quite different reasons. De Klerk on Friday was very good, although the Cip collision was not so nice. Van Zyl to help Irish produce one of, if not the result of the weekend is also worthy.

As said, its about generating debate for The Times, just as we have some provocative comments made on here to get the fingers typing furiously and the teeth gnashing in agreement or indignation.

Bizarre! The Telegraph Team of the week includes Nick Schonert, Jackson Willison and Chris Pennell, while most reports name David Denton as outstanding.

The Telegraph team does mention him in passing at he foot of one position (#6?) from memory ĎDavid Denton also scored a brace for Warriors.í I guess to be fair they had to strike a balance between teams, couldnít have almost 1/3rd coming from us!

Love JA - thought he played well on Sat., thought against Glaws he was superb and wish every player showed his level of loyalty.

But for him to be in Times team of week (this week) is a bit weird.

Also, I donít see it as provocative from The Times (as theyíd go for something juicier) this is just one of their sports journoís bizarre or uninformed opinion.
