Fantastic off-loading by Exeter. Whoever taught them that is brilliant? 0-31

0 - 31

Sarries have a TBP and look like they will win.
However, next game v LI, they will still need to earn a home semi.
They will be after momentum.

What’s the metric used if level on points ? Wins or for/ against difference ?

They need two five point wins from their last two games (We have 6 wins to their 3 )
That's as long as we don't pick up a try or losing bonus from our last two.
Feeling safe now.

Judging by how bad Quins are at the moment, we really ought to be winning that one!

League point first
Number of wins next
Match points difference next
Then it get complicated

Oirish can only win a maximum of 5 games now. We're on 6 so that clears that particular stat up.
Our points difference is similar.5 points between us.
We are obviously favourites to stay up now

We should beat Quins, but we should have beat Irish, yesterday we could have caught Saints if we’d won yesterday but........ but we just seem to fold when opportunity arises.

We can only hope we buck the trend when Quins arrive to finish the season with a bit of flourish rather than a damp squib.

So we just need one bonus point to stay up whatever Irish do?

You’d hope we could cobble together a point somehow from Quins and Saints as our last two games. Two winning BPs is a very big ask especially as Sarries will be looking to nail down a home semi

The good news for us is that when Alex Sanderson was interviewed on BT after today's game he said they needed another 4 points for a home semi and he'd rather get them sooner than later.

Whatever you do, do it safely!

Shame for Irish but such is the nature of the current system the trend of "who goes down will come back up" scenario will most likely happen again.
Though Ealing and Coventry may spoil the Irish party next season.

Both have recruited very well and Irish haven't yet done much recruiting. Not sure they even fully know who will be leaving.

Great shame this system. Pleased we've, hopefully, avoided that fate ourselves.

You can only admire Exeter, was any other result ever in doubt, I expect the same with Saracens.
It comes from good coaching from a consistent team. That is what we have to hope for over the next few years.

Consistency is the thing with sides like Exeter. We can beat Exeter, Tigers and Newcastle and 7 days later make mistakes, have misfiring set piece, miss tackles.

Anybody can have an off day at the office but we seem to do it collectively. I don't know if its mindset, over confidence after a win. No idea
