Good side with decent back up off the bench for the latter stages.

I like that team and No Gonoeva for the Falcons, the Worcester boys have a golden opportunity here to raise themselves and get that W that would make us all feel better.

Possibly more critical to their play is no Matavesi.

Flood had a mare last week too, if he continues in that vein you should well get the "W", all the pressure is on Falcons, good luck.

Good to have hougaard back, shame not to have schonert.

I like the bench.

I do think our bench has a lot of players on it who can make a real impact and, whilst I don't know a lot about some of the Falcons squad, it appears stronger than theirs.

Whatever you do, do it safely!

Ill, according to the Offy. Perhaps his food at Nando's was sabotaged? (Sm100)

We are the home team, I’d say the pressure is on us. Disappointed Lance isn’t starting and Joe better throw a hell of a lot better than last week. Will be interesting to see how the front row stand up.

The Loss of Schonert is massive.

Kerrod is going to have a tough game v Mavinga!

Otherwise not a bad team and a good set of finishers.

I am always up for being turned around, but remember it was not against their 1st choice prop.

Kerrod does look improved on last season to me. Let's hope a year with Mefin has him the next Nick Schonert.

I always think Newcastle look beatable but their biggest factor is how Richards has them playing together so well. If that fires on all cylinders, we could be in trouble.

That said, if we can't win the home games that are 50/50 ahead of the game, we're on altogether more serious trouble.

Yep, came on as a HIA replacement for Schonert and won his first pen after about 2 minutes! There can be no hiding from the fact that he was genuinley decent last week. Even if the second ones weren't against the Sale first choice props, you can only play what's in fromt of you.

And, arguably, offered more around the park than Schonert did.

Gotta be a reason he’s leapfrogged Milasinovich. Mefyn clearly knows his stuff.

Kerrod did look lazy last season (missed some very easy tackles vs Bath in that humiliation), but has been completely different in the two games so far.
Against Wasps he made a big impact carrying and getting on the end of offloads in the pack and as has been said, he won 2 breakdown penalties and one at the scrum against Sale.

Why did they him back on last week?

If they come back with delayed action then the whole HIA is in doubt as to its effectiveness

Glad to see Heaney as back up to FH, thought he looked good when he came on last week.
Hope Ryan Mills does better, felt he was poor by his standards.
Otherwise, we don't look too shabby and could (should?) win, but given the first two games.......

OK then.

Sun’s shining, may last, baseball cap or sunnies for all East Stand inhabitants just in case.

Key points to watch....

Is Kerrod a useless lump or the next messiah? Strong opinions on here.
Will Millsy have a good one? This would be highly convenient.
If Heaney gets on will be as effective as last week? (Way beyond “good” NW2)

Plus....has Wayne Barnes been briefed that he needs to remind us all how much better than Doyler he really is? Hugely impressed with the lack of comment from the club re. last week’s officiating. Doyler was truly awful.

Wuss win, tbp.

Barnes will know we’re a Pen machine and will Ref accordingly. Coaches and players need to adapt and learn quickly as we’re not yet good enough to leak points and get a result.

Hopefully today will be a start of the improved discipline and a win. With this outcome, I think the squad would build on it, despite the daunting opposition in the next few games.
