Anyone any ideas as to why this has happened now ?

How much game time has MM been getting ?

If Mullan still isn't fit and has had his contract cancelled it seems likely he won't be fit again before the end of the season, if he is able to return at all.

You can add to these two Jake Cooper-Woolley, who's joined Sale, Elliott Daley, who's move to Sarries is supposed to be signed and sealed, and Willie Le Roux, who's off to Japan after the RWC apparently.

And talk of Cruise going as well?

Wasps are already nothing like the team they were over the previous couple of years and if these moves all take place without some remarkable replacements its not hard to imagine some very serious problems returning - remember they were a game or two away from bankruptcy before they left Wycombe.

They have since taken on a massive debt and if they can't substantially fill the Ricoh the interest could become a serious problem let alone paying the wages.

Not to mention the lawsuit from SISU which is still ongoing.

As for the Sisu case, Coventry City's agreement to play at the Ricoh ends at the end of this season and Wasps are refusing to negotiate a new agreement until the case ends. That could be a significant dent in income next season.

Not to mention the end for Cov City, potentially.

Thatís a big place to finance on your own.

CCFC pay £100k a year in rent. Hardly significant.

£100k a year is a decent squad player or 3 Academy players. What happens to the bar and food takings? I presume that is retained by the Events/Stadium business, the profits from which also support Wasps rugby. So another hit there.

Every little helps, even for Prem rugby clubs.

If the contract has been cancelled or paid out then it might be that the injury shows no sign of improvement or that they are cost cutting. MM is a first rate prop and if fit would be welcome most places I would have thought so I take this as a bad sign for him in injury terms. Would be a sad end to a good career - decent bloke and decent player. If he were properly fit I would have him back

It's been confirmed today that that Will Stuart, another prop and Academy graduate, is leaving. Meanwhile, they've signed former All Blacks Toomaga-Allen, a prop, and Fekitoa, a centre.

Bringing youth players through musn't be high on their list of priorities.

High turnover and very few academy players who make it through their system.

Pretty much the opposite model to that which we are hoping to establish.

Whatís the point in having an academy if your not getting any benefit?

Simpson, Cooper-Woolley, Stuart, Wade and Daly - all leaving in the Summer - were former academy players.

The Willis brothers, and to a lesser extent Umaga are very recent academy players and should be there or thereabouts next season.

The move to Coventry has disrupted the flow of youngsters though and the club will prioritise there.

Not really bothered with what's going on at coventry cuckoo's but with regard to Matt, if he is hungry enough and fit enough I'd love to see him back at Sixways.

Unlike the Kvesics of this world, I never really regarded Matt as a "Ship jumper".The guy served his time at Sixways and deserved a chance of winning the odd trophy when his chance came.

Much like a certain "Balding Barista" he is a totally different player to the one that left Sixways. He just needs to decide what his priorities are.

His priorities are his personal life @ present according to Dai Young.
I'd love him back here but in life things are more important than rugby.

I'm scheduled for a cardiac ablation - but my wife seems to have got it into her head that we aren't going to the match on Saturday.

Going to watch a game on a Saturday afternoon is a little less taxing than training full time at the intensity needed to be fit enough to play professional rugby at the top level.
