New Recruits

the team has exceeded expectations this season but with such a small squad its hard to see us sustain current success let alone build further. All we need to suffer is a few injuries to key player an we would really struggle.

I am hoping that George North was just waiting to see who between the Blues and Ospreys would qualify for the champions cup. The Ospreys' still have a chance to qualify but hopefully he will be influenced by us already securing that qualification.

I think we need at least two probably three more forwards .. Obviously a big brawling experienced second row, a back up number 8 to cover or alternate with Nick, particularly when the rest of the backrow are away with Wales and probably, with Tao retiring, another experienced tight head.

If George was to join us then I am not sure we need anymore backs, but if Jarrod continues as he is then he and GA will both be away for Wales and so perhaps another outside half preferably one who can also play inside centre.

With the release of Damian Welch you would expect we have made at least one good quality second row signing, hopefully two.
Eight and tighthead cover are also pretty essential.
Missing out of George North hopefully frees up some money to splash out on someone in these areas.
Hopefully Mulvihill's using his contacts at his previous clubs to fill these gaps.
Don't think we need another 10 who can play centre as Stevo fits that mould and played well in South Africa after being missing for a while.
We do look at risk of being left behind recruitment wise by the other Welsh teams.

Next years recruit (or lack there of) is a worry its quite late now to get any decent players they are usually all signed up by Jan/Feb.

Not sure North not joining frees up that much funds as he has signed on a dual contract so we would have only covered 40% of his salary. Cuthbert leaving should free up a fair bit mind.

I agree a big nasty second row is number 1 priority to complement the skills of Seb Davies. We haven't really had a second row of that ilk since the legend that was Paul Tito.

Halaholo is not a NWQ.

Carl Meryer is the full back. Its more to do with Williams shoulder injury that we have had to bring him in.

Hope RW shoulder injury not too serious? Does seem to be made of glass. Maybe a spell in the U23s when he gets back.

Belcher coming back also a rumour. Think more to do with the U23s for now!!
