Robbo for England?

Sam Warburton mentioned in commentary that with England ongoing search for a fetcher at 7 they could do worse than look at Ollie Robinson.

What’s your thoughts? I have not seen much Premiership games this year but I have heard far worse opinions. Sam Underhill and Tom Curry might be ahead of him but who knows.

Totally agree. From a Cardiff Blues perspective come the international window we could lose Navidi and Ellis Jenkins so Robbo is a very important member of the squad. Just found it an interesting call as you hear pundits talking about the need for England to have an open side and you hear names mentioned but first time I heard from a respected rugby man Robbo’s name.

I don't understand why underhill was parachuted in when Olly, may not be as physical, is a far better poacher

I think for some reason England really struggle to produce and identify quality opensides, maybe they focus too much on size in the academies. Underhill and Robinson are both quality but were not recognised until they moved to Wales.

Totally agree. He'd have to join an English club to be picked and I think he's clever enough to realise that, at least in the short term with Eddie Jones, he'd have no chance whatsoever of getting in the England squad.

He's certainly good enough, far better than anything they already have, but selfishly nope, rather he stays with us thank you very much.
