Re: C'MON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely brilliant second half performance from the boys; Moseley rarely got out of their own half and were even going backwards at the set scrums and what little possession they did get was negated by tremendous Bees tackling. Pity we couldn't have deprived them of the losing bonus point. I would say that this game even eclipsed our performance at Cornish Pirates by a long chalk. If we can continue in the same vein against Coventry and Rotherham, I feel sure our place in the Championship will be secure for next season.
Once again, "Well done you Bees!"

Re: C'MON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was an all round top class performance by all the team; what a result.(Sm152)

One comment on the officials - it just shows what a well run game can result in. I have to say Dean Richards and his two assistants contributed to an excellent afternoon's Rugby by using just the right amount of discretion and keeping firm control of matters - Well done Ref(Sm152) Now I bet you never thought you would hear me say that!

Returning to the Bees perfomance; did anyone choose a Man of the Match??? No I don't think I dare either, all 17 of you who took the pitch deserved the accolade - but if pushed - no I not going to.

Roll on Cov next week and another 5 star team performance(Sm13)

(Sm128) Bee seen!

(Sm131) Bee heard!

[:wor kid:] Bee there!!

Re: C'MON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic performance and result. A hearty congratulations to the Bees squad; everyone on the pitch seemed to give it 100%. Two areas to work on: Bees receiving opposition re-starts, as there is a danger on short and high re-starts the opposition will win the ball back, and rucks that grind to a halt with the scrum-half then looking around while the forwards re-group: either more players need to be committed to the ruck while this is going on, so the ball is not lost, or the ball should simply be moved, without the re-grouping process taking place, so that the pace of the game is maintained. I favour the latter.

Anyway: COME ON YOU BEES!

Superb! A little hoarse today! Support was reasonable and hopefully this win will encourage others to come along. Many congratulations to Rusty ......for lasting the whole 80 minutes! Fantastic defence, and it was obvious the mood was right in the squad. Seeing the Roth Cov result makes this escape a real possibility for us! yesterday was a season defining match. Now lets moove on!!!

Re: C'MON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was there as a Coventry supporter I thought theBees were fantastic commitment passion and endevour and Ben Patson was tremendous at outside half controlled the game beautifully. Although the Moseley supporters appeared to outnumber the BEES supporters they gradually went quiet. On the negative side the crowd was poor for a local derby with what wasat stake considering they are the two premier sides in Birmingham come on Bees supporters give your team some support on that showing they deserve it

The crowd was not big. You would have thought 6X in the clubhouse, Nando's big chicken strutting around, free mars bars with the programmes and give away piri-piri sauce might have encouraged some - the standard of rugby certainly should have pulled a few in! Hopefully now we have "one under the belt" some reluctant supporters who got fed up during the season with defeat after defeat will now return to give their support - hell, the boys deserve it!

Re: C'MON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great feeling it is to start winning again.

Moseley came with a simple game plan - to use their big forwards to beat us up. Now on the face of it, that would seem to be a sound tactic given the success other teams had had with this approach throughout the regular season. And to begin with, it was quite successful for them given the way they scored their 2 tries.

But what a performance from all the lads. The set pieces held their own, giving the platform needed. The second half defence around the fringes cut the Moseley attack off at gain line every time and a viruoso performance from Patso with his kicking from hand pinned Moseley back in their own 22 time and time again. He controlled the game magnificently. And that second try of ours was just as if last season had never ended.(Sm134)

With Route 1 rugby no longer an option, Moseley seemed bereft of any ideas - there was no plan B.

Sooooooooo looking forward to Cov next week.

Thanks for your thoughts Roger. I was surprised by how few Moseley supporters turned up given the importance of the game. Perhaps they thought it would be a formality?

Re: C'MON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few of us away with the Colts on Sat so missed the game. Kep in contact on mobile, fantastic result although Colts just lost aginst a fat side on a ploughed field in a rainstorm, still at least we tried to play the rugby!

Without Bockbee and me at SX, plus the colts, the crowd volume would be halved. we will be there when we can.

Come on you bees!!!!!!
